About 2bhp more if you replaced the standard dustbin lid airfilter for a K&N....with lots of induction roar.

2 years ago got my97 turbo and now own a P1
All grear cars and all have good memories, RS2000 for pure driving though

My Other Fords (Other than the Supersport above):

1983 Escort RS1600i (1991 - 1995) Specialised Engines Stage 1 Conversion, featured in Performance Ford Mag 1994.

1986 Escort Series 1 RS Turbo (1997 - 2000) Colins Chip, Tube Torque Exhaust, K&N 57i, Drilled/Grooved Disks, Kevlar Pads.
Genuine 180BHP - proved 3 years running on dyno.
This car was fully restored with full photgraphic records (shouldn't of sold it)

1993 Subaru Impreza WRX (2000) 16 inch Speedline Safari's
At the time was a bit unsure about it being a Jap import and it's lack of history, so when the following Cosworth turned up, I just had to have it.

1986 Sierra 3-Door Cosworth (2000 - 2001) Totally standard and could of easily been brought up to show condition. New Baby and in-practicality foced me to buy a family 4-Door (Subaru Impreza Turbo)

1994 Subaru Impreza Turbo 'Prodrive Edition' - 1 of 25 apparently.
Added 17inch BK238's, MY99 Rear Spoiler and Prodrive Rear Silencer (piccie shows a Magnex), currently 235BHP.

Cool

1986 XR4X4, I've still got it on the drive as I can't bring myself to part with it. In the sort of weather we're having now it was way more fun than the scoob, apart from the p155 poor heater and no headlights to speak of.

All fiesta's as well

Mk1 1.1 pop plus (red)
Mk2 XR2 (red)
Mk3 XR2i (grey)
Mk3 RS1800 (red)
Mk3 RS1800 (red)

Current scoob-red, notice a trend here

Scott.T, pretty sure I remember you SS way back at FordFair 89' at Stanford Hall, and I'm pretty sure we've got some piccies somewhere
Bin' goin to Ford Fair ever since, even entered our last RS1800
in concours, came 5th, although there were only 5 RS1800 therelol
but ya live and learn, and I thought I was fanatical in the cleaning cars dept BTW Scott, did I send you a copy of REVS, middle of last year with a S1 turbo in??

TBH, If we won the lottery on saturday I'd buy another RS1800 and a
SuperSport, as we've always wanted a SS, but couldn't afford the ins at 17/18 yrs old

Never looked back though since buying the scoob, absloutely love it

I guess the answer to the thread is "Who DIDN'T run a Ford?!"

I own a quarter share in a car used only for trackdays - guess what? It's an '89 XR4x4. Not high powered (about 150bhp) but after suspension and brake mods, it taught me the pleasures to be had from 4x4 on tarmac (see xr4x4.co.uk).

And the road cars of the four of us that share this car? Impreza Turbo, Legacy Turbo, Legacy Turbo and Turbo Technics XR4x4!

2001 : Subaru Impreza P1

Heh, nice upgrade wasn't it! Scared the crap out of me for first 4 mths getting used to so much power, Dad is ex-british rally champ tho so was hooked from an early age to Scoob's.

Very nice car, abz. They still look great now!
Do you enter it in any concours?
Seeing all these pics is giving me supersport envy, think instead
of getting a bike, might look into a SS, I think Heather might
even agree to that one

Craft,

Yes twas me that u sent the copy of Revs to last year, with my old Series 1 in (I think it's moved on to another owner since then), as the guy that bought it from me had to sell it on to purchase a house.

Like you, I would like to pick either a Supersport or perhaps a Sunburst Red RS1600i to tuck up in the garage and show through the summer. That's why if we ever move I'm gonna make sure we have a double garage.

If you have any pics of my Supersport at Ford Fair I'd love to see them. I think it was 89 and 90. 89 was up by the house and 90 was by the lake (I think). I then moved on to my RS1600i.

It's great to see all these Supersport. Hey, they only had 66BHP but they were great fun and probably still got to 60mph quicker than alot of current 1600cc cars.

I had a Ford Taurus GL when I lived in the US, it was pants... I nicknamed it the walrus. It had a setting for a/c called max a/c that I stuck a label next to that said 'emergency fuel dump'.

Nice car, not.

Simon (not a fan of any blue oval product I'm afraid).

I had a Mustang GT while I was in the US. Owned it for 3 yrs. OK in a straight line (thanks to 4.6L V8), but very scary if you showed it a bend or it rained...

Hi

I had a rwd Sapphire Cosworth for over 4 years till last Summer, sold it, and I missed it.

Was looking for another but had no luck so bought a Scooby (early WRX), picked it up tonight...wow!

No faster than my stage 1 Saf in a straight line (except in the wet, obviously!), probably a little slower over 100mph, but ****ing fantastic handling/noise/looks...feels like it could take more of a hammering too.

Well chuffed but I certainly love Cosworths too. I'll always be a fan.
