I used to have a zafira GSI it never let me down and we had loads of room for family, 3 kids and our great dane.
We just bought a beautiful STI and we are delighted with it but no more room for doggy and our kids are squished in the back squabbling but who cares it's more than worth it and they get to travel in style!
Congratulations, I am glad you are happy with your new car Enjoy!

If you advertised your car in For sale and I posted "Whats the weather like in Turkey ?", its not at all relevant to the initial topic is it ?
Howver, to react and tell to someone to f++k off or call them a pr1ck is probably a little over the top as well
Anyway, hope you enjoy the new car, there is life after scoobies......

So how is the car then steppers?
A good choice if you need an MPV and probably the only one on the market with 240bhp and plenty of toys as standard . Personally I think they are great if you need a fast MPV and look pretty good as well IMHO.
I wouldn't worry about negative comments so long as you are happy with it and it fits with your personal requirements that's all that matters.
I think some of the guy's were taking the mick, and to be fair everyone has, or is entitled to an opinion and you did ask .
Wish I could afford / justify a Zafira VXR, but as it is baby No3 is on the way and my beloved TSL333 has to go, enter a humdrum MPV or large diesel hatch / estate .
Anyway, hope all is well with your new car and that you are enjoying it.

okay all thanks for the sensible comments
gingerboy/talizman - i asked if anyone had one and sgcooby does not of course, and yes there was a thread where he was a complete **** and had i posted on the general scooby section would have expected to have the pi** taken
simon its 0-6- in 7.2 and top speed 144 240 bhp compared to 200 on the gsi which is basically an sri now
neanderthal i cant quite make out a meriva vxr either but its horses for courses i suppose. the zafira takes some getting used to on the bends after my sti but i wouldnt fancy the meriva in said situation
spankathon i got it in red and not to save 350 quid either. saw them all didnt like black as i usually do and silver was dead plain. loved the blue but my sti was blue and was too similar red seemed sporty looking

Shame they couldn't shoehorn in the 1.8 turbo from the Astra SRi though!

Why post about a specific car and model and not expect a variety of comments about it? Good and bad, comments and the odd joke whether asked for or not?
I might be missing the point of the post though.I'm just used to mentioning my skoda and everyone diving in.
Enjoy the car though

Usually comes from people who have absolutely no first hand experience of the car they are slagging, they read a report in a magazine and now think they are some motoring journalist instead of the pea brained moron they are.
Yes everyone is intituled to an opinion by the same token people are also intituled to say that the opinion expressed is about as valid as a chocolate fireguard, which most of the time they are.
Your not big and you are certainly not clever
There that's better

Ha ha ha indeed
Told everyone what you were like and you didnt let me down
If they read other threads youve posted in they will see the light hearted quip was meant with full intent, funny you aint sunshine.
One good reason i sold my scooby because of thick ****** like you giving off a chav image ruining it for the rest of normallity
Get back to your scooby threads and go bag to slagging off vxrboy which is what you seem to enjoy and more members get to "Look up to you" there
And for all the non mental people reading this thread thanks once again for your comments and the car is a dream to own just looking forward to the first weekend

My mate has a new Zafira SRi 1.9 CDTi oil burner.
18 inch alloys, heated leather, exterior pack etc... he has a £200 powerclick inline box and it made 193bhp and 293LB/FT torque.
Not bad for a oil burning people carrier. Can embarass a lot of so called fast cars

I wouldn't mind getting a VXR Zafira, practical for work/family and a bit of fun at the weekends.
Ignore the blinkered fools and badge snobs that seem to think a Subaru is the holy grail of motoring.

I like these Zafira VXR's. I thought about buying one recently, as I had a Vectra 2.6 GSi which was a great car in every respect for my usage. But I ended up with a BM 530d Tourer, and a very happy Missus!!

3 things spring to mind, having read this thread, and the linked threads above......
1. Steppers, I bet that any potential buyers are damn glad they didn't go for your STi, bearing in mind your revelations about it's problems, after you have traded it in.... Wonder if you'd have been as opinionated while showing to prospective buyers.....
I do however feel sorry for you.... I mean, you started advertising your car back in June 2004! for £22,500 and eventually settled on £15,000 almost 2 years later. I can see why you are bitter!
May I respectfully suggest that you close your SN account and go to the VRX bbs (if there is one) and brag about how good your Vauxhall is?
2. Also, it may be just me, but you seem to take umbrage and offence at almost every comment directed at you. You need to learn to loosen up and take a chill pill. Most banter on SN is jovial and light hearted, but you seem to take everything dead seriously and start abusing folk, expletives galore...... Bet you are loads of fun at a night out....
Whats the point in getting wound up and turning into a keyboard warrior?
3. VRXBOY..... what the hell is this guy all about? Part of me wonders if he is actually a 15 year old schoolboy being allowed too much internet access!
Peace
