Was Jakes 4th birthday o n Saturday, had a great day with a party an all that, anyway back to ours later for a few drinks and stuff, not had much to drink, bout 7pm Jake asked me to open one of his toys and it had a cable tie on it, i couldnt find the scissors so used a knife. yes you guessed it knife went into my other hand fairly deep, i kept it above head height to stop the bleeding but the panic was setting in as i new it was deep and was worried how i could stop it properly.

The wife came to help and as she put a plaster on i started to feel faint, i went to go to sit down but never made it, i cant remember what happened now but my wife said i then collapsed backwards onto the kitchen floor tiles very hard, i cracked my head and blood was pouring out, luckily her mum and sister was still here, Eve was screaming as she tried to stop the blood, Jake came into the kitchen and also started screaming, Eve told her mum to call an ambulance and i came to as the paramedics got to ours, i was taken to hospital and given 6 stitches in a 6cm cut and another cut on my head was glued followed by 3 butterfly stitches in my hand.

i am still getting dizzy spells and spent most of yesterday in bed. Apparantly concussion can last up to 2 weeks so just got to take it easy

blimey must be something going round, my wife was cleaning a pan that had spaghetti in it, and a piece of dried spaghetti went right up her finger behind the nail. She had to go A&E to get her whole nail removed. Talk about a freak accident.

Hope the gran and yourself Ste are getting better

cheers lads, feel a bit better now, although things are still a bit fuzzy

on another note Si, is the WR1 worth the premium over a STI with mods?

It was on the rollers at Silverstone Autosport at 292 bhp and 304 lb ft torque but unofficially their figures are supposed to be a bit conservative according to a couple of people

Mid range is awesome though and 0 - 60 is around 5 seconds

Not been on track yet but should be off to the Nurburgring with some of the SMACS at the end of September

you can map them if they are already ppp. Worst case scenario you run a program called ecu unlocker which will allow a remap to take place (I dont think you can pull the existing map though)

I always thought the ppp ecu's where locked in some way!! If I can get a sti with ppp an the possability that it can be re-mapped if I want to upgrade in the future then I will go for one of them rather than one that's already been tinkered with. Sooner do the mods how I want them

yep they may be locked but freely available software called ecu unlocker works on the scoobs and evos and will unlock any of the ecu. It wont damage the map already on there, only thing you wont be able to do is view the map

had an easy afternoon in work yesterday so i took a walk over to the trim area, there was loads of new evoques, my fooking word it is one gorgeous looking car, i know you'll probably be thinking im bound to say it but honestly it is fantastic to see in the metal, had a little sit in the back of a 5 door and was suprised by how much room there was as well, it was fully loaded with teles in the back, reverse camera, elec boot and everything, even the key fobs are a work of art. apparantly there is a 12 month waiting list already, starts at 28k. Will be having a look at one when we get the wife her next car as im still not sure if it will be big enough especially if we have another sprog

Ste the mondeo st that you had was it petrol or diesel? I am thinking about getting a 2.2tdci for economy reasons. Megane is giving me 30mpg on motorway runs and I could do with more disposable income at the end of the month, the st will give me 50% better consumption (even more with a remap that I have been looking at )

Jay it was the diesel and it was fooking superb, im in a bit of a quandry myself mate as im not sure wether to get another one or go for the scoob. You can map them up to 170+ i think with ease, i could get 60-70mpg on the motorway mate, if i hammered it all the time id still not go under 40mpg round town, fantastic car mate, seen two today that got me wanting one again

Justin, if you have to go to Fords tell them your bother in law works for them so you can get discount, tell them you can give them his FIN number but that he lives in Liverpool so getting his actual clock card is hard, then see if they will give you discount and i will give you my FIN number ok, you can get up to 50% off some stuff so it could save you a lot of money ok

you have to be imediate family hence the brother in law crap ok mate
