Morning - I see the weather is looking good today

 

morning all

 

found out the problem with my car

 

it manifested itself on the motorway coming into work

 

started blowing from the front of the car, though ot oh exhaust manifold

 

however when I got to work, I popped the hood and noticed the spark plug cover had come loose on one side

 

quick peek under and no 3 plug has come loose and was sat on top of my engine.

 

that explains the lack of power and the blowing noise

 

just hope the thread isnt stripped otherwise its a head off job and helicoil type thing

 

probably cheaper to get a 2nd hand engine

 

gonna do a post on clubcalibra see if its common thing.

thing is it will take about 4 days to get a response from them!

 

bit weird it just popping out - somethings not quite right there

 

not common by the sounds of it, got the plug on my desk though and luckily it isnt stripped. Seems as though it has only been put in hand tight previously and has worked loose over time.

Need to pop out now though to get a spark plug tool to sort it out. Could also do with a rocker cover gasket as well as there is a bit of oil about

 

when I first got hold of the plug I thought I would have damage somewhere as I thought the tip was missing

Luckily though it s a dual tipped thing and the electrodes are on the sides

 

just hope I dont get a call from the mrs before I fix it saying she is going into labour

Cat 6 cable is good, but unless its a good price I wouldnt bother as it is overkill for a telephone extension.

Cat 5e is cheaper and is still overkill for an extension but its cheap overkill

Also if you are looking at cable make sure it isnt stranded core

£8 delivered is a good price for that length of cat 6, considering I paid about £37 for a reel of cat 5 e cable (mine had extra sheafing though to run it externally.)

 

Just fixed my car

its now purring like a tiger

 

the k & n filter though doesnt half make it sound sh!te

 

makes it sound like its knocking

 

but its not

probably tear arsing his new toy in his grounds

 

gonna do a good workout tonight when I get in.

Probably do 30 mins on the multigym and train to failure doing my chest, then do a 2 - 3 mile run.

Realised originally I had my treadmill on an incline so I changed it to flat and it is soooo much easier

 

sort of half finished the garage now, my half is tidy the other half is still messy though
