[quote=slim_boy_fat]there opinions just a tad more worthy than yours,
Evo is all about drivers cars, FACT. If you want to read opinions with a diffrent slant buy What Car.
On another note, the Integra Type R gets my volte.
The CTR is just plain overpriced and quite frankly ugly but then someone else might think it look nice.

Couldn't resist; as the future purchaser of a car my opinion tends to be the most important, not that of a third party, purely bacuse my driving talent is unlikely to match theirs!
EVO has had a number of lardy cars (Hummer etc) in their reviews, some of those cars would struggle to be in the same sentence as the term 'drivers car'
The Integra gets my vote if its a DC2, save much money over the expensive DC5 and not have the nausea of looking for specialist insurance providers (imports)
Call a CTR ugly, its a beauty compared to my previous vehicle - a bugeye WRX

i am a big honda fan and really like these, only seen pics though. arent they quicker than ctr, what does it pull like over 100mph. came across any scoobys/evo

VTEC's kick butt at higher speeds, my S2000 pulls really hard at 80 plus.
I got wasted by a 2.2 prelude when I had a tweaked Uk turbo. It sailed past The new ITS is really a nice piece of kit. Brembo's, lightweight, great diff, nice seats etc etc. I had a DC2 but it was just too raw, this looks a bit more comfy

Hmm no need to get nasty. But if you would rather be told what to think. Be my guest ...Oh and here is a plaster, put it over your knuckles that are dragging on the floor.

ctr 0-60 6.8 0-100 16.9
dc2 0-60 6.2 0-100 17.9
dc5 0-60 7.1 0-100 16.7
172 0-60 7.1 0-100 18.9
182 0-60 6.6 0-100 17.5

The DC5 is quicker than the CTR (The UKDM) one at least. It has the JDM K20 that has a bit more power, yet it also has LSD, Brembos, and more responsive steering, so an allround more flexible package. Still as allways figures on paper mean nothing. In everyday driving situations and on numerous testing sessions on track the DC5 edges away in all situations. This is more pronounced at speeds of over 80 mph when it's more slippery shape comes into play.
Hell even the DC2 is quicker at up to 80 than the CTR, only then the CTR's larger capacity and gearing makes a difference. Round the twisty average B road the LSD and much better chassis again makes a difference.

Interesting figures there, the figures i've heard about the dc5 are different to 60 though more like 6.1.
rexabusa over 100mph is starts to fly imo, not that i've done such a silly thing

the clio is ahead up to 100mph then the civic starts to pull away over 100
teh clio has better handling aswell and is very quick for a small car and really underrated aswell you have to be in both of them to realise how well a clio goes instead of stating figures and giving it BLA BLA BLA about ive done this ive seen this when you are in both cars with tha same driver each time you will fell the clio being alot nippier to 100
this is all my OWN OPINION

the 182 you are talking about is a 182 clio cup the colour is racing blue and has white stripes, cup suspension, anthracite wheels, cup spoile, front splitter all this comes with the clio cup which is only abvailible in racing blue and is lighter and has a faster 0-60 time as this is the one my brother has at the moment.... hope that helps

ok driven them both
well today i drove both the 182 and ctr back to back and i can now say i will not be buying.........a 182, because i thought the driving position was poor as was the steering wheel position just didnt feel right, also it didnt feel that quick for what it was and gave me no confidence when accelerating out of corners or turning in for that matter, but still a nice looking little car, however the ctr was everything the clio wasnt more planted, stable, smoother, generally a nicer drive all round,
my g/f was very dissapointed with the clio because that was her chioce but she knew as soon as she drove the honda it was far better
anyway the search for a ctr begins(anybody want to buy an evo 6)
thanks for all your comments

There you go, told you that there would be a clear winner, everyone is different I find my 172 "skittish" when pushing it, especially compared to the old 19. But I guess that's what you get for having such a shorter wheelbase, unlike a good ol' breadvan
