What makes me laugh, is the number of people who say standard boxes are fine for 400+ bhp

Steven, is there any benefit by having dog engagement on 1st and 2nd? IE Is the gear width any better? (and can you get them in time)

David, gears aside it'll make for a quicker clutchless change.

Both of you!

Why have people before mixed the gear manufacturers?
Adam's box he just sold to Bigbrakes was a mix also.

Graham, I've pulled my Impreza's gearstick clean out of it's mountings attempting to change gear more than once....bloody circlip kept falling off the worn plastic cup securing it...right pain in the backside I can tell you

Circlip holds in the plastic cup, not the other way around.. I suspect poor installation here... Tim is better with sheep

John...you know very well that the ball of the gearstick sits in the plastic cup which is secured to the support arm via a circlip on the underside...try fixing that on a gravel drive with only a Subaru tyre changing jack and a bendy set of circlip pliers...

I've since learnt removing the entire assembly in that situation makes things a lot easier...as does having access to some decent ramps
