I haven't been able to check this thread since Saturday lunchtime but from the pictures it might as well have been a fortnight. Herioc effort on all parts.
Steven, i have to concede, from what model did your manifold originate, Legacy? Colour matched or not the powder coat looks excellent.
Did you feel like Paul Senior/Junior saying things are "going for powder coat"? Nope? Just me that watches too much Discovery then.
Andy, somehow i felt sympathy for Emma in that pic too.

Cheers Guys. The biggest thing by far, was the wiring adjustments, including the DCCD, MSD, MAP Sensor, etc. Without David and Pat, they wouldnt have been done.
The picture of David, is of him passing wind
MSD Comes in a red colour Brad, but i actually dont like red (bit bizarre having a red car)
Carl, the manifold is a 99MY manifold which has been heavily modified, complete with a MY98 throttle body. Yes, i even commented the other week, it felt like American Chopper, dry installing stuff and then taking apart for powder coating.
Dont know when its going to run now, as work will be chaotic this week.
List of things to do
Install Shaft nuts on the rear shafts
Install prop shaft
Solder 2 wires for the DCCD on the box
Fit centre and back box
Route the power feed for the 2nd pump
Install the rest of the interior
Swap 2 fuel lines round
Fill with oil
Fill with water
Crank over to build oil pressure
Fit plugs
Start engine
Fit front splitter (not important)
Fit plastic front wheel arch liners
Thorough clean

Graham your right its not too long, but after getting up 5:30am on Friday to go to work, and then getting home at gone 7pm, to stay in the garage until Midnight, to get up at 7am and start work on the car at 8am, to finish at 2am (BST) Sunday morning, to wake up at 6am Sunday morning and start on the car at 8am to get to 8pm and realise that list is to do, its a long list
Besides, if we had finished it, there is no way the car was running at any time after 7pm, i have consideration for my neighbours.
Had things gone to plan, we would have run it in yesterday, and started to push it, with a view to parking it up, ready for the 9th and 75% passes. Now in the hands of Pat and how full his diary is really, as it will need mapping from the off.
There have been so many changes to the electronics i dont even know what they are myself, so can not really explain. Most of those interract with the ecu in one way or another.
Having spoken to david today, we might have started the engine by the end of the week. Some video footage will be taken at some point, and uploaded.
Steven
Edit, as i spelt Pat wrong
(Cheers Killa)

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
Having spoken to steven
Im going over tomorrow to finish the list for him, I will get the car to a point where it will start, but WILL NOT crank it..
Hopefully then when he gets home from work it will be ready to fire.. Need to find my camcorder

You recent day working hours are sort of like mine every day, but i avoid late finishes, but those are demanding and you will make mistakes...
Safe hands with David, so all will be well.
We ALL look foreward to the Event of the Week.

Graham.

Graham, i have pretty much worked those hours for the last 11 years, and it does take its toll.
Spent 2 hours clearing the garage tonight, its not tidy, but its workable again, as it looked like a bomb had hit it.
Few pics taken today.
Screamer pipe exit

New bonnet vent

Again

Current front end. New no plate on order and front splitter still to go on, as well as indicators and covers/lights.

Current state of engine bay, nearly complete.

And again

And again

DCCD Control unit all wired in

M800 ECU hidden in OEM case, also 2nd supply line from the fuel tank.

DCCD Indication lights in instrument cowel

New fuel line out of tank from 2nd pump, together with power supply/relay

STi instrument panel installed. So far its plug and play, just need to see what the speed does.

I did, for about 2 months, 2 years ago, it didnt suit the colour of my car IMO, and it was a shame to paint it.
The carbon scoop is still up for consideration re leave as is, or paint.

Looking good Steven
Word of warning, when I ran with a reverse scoop and the coil down there, rain would cause a misfire on cold start. I just fitted it with a little brolly
A flat plate, just to stop the water landing directly on it.
