To wrap a downpipe you will need 25-30 feet of 2" width wrapping. I found economy in just getting 50ft, not much difference.

Jay_bee has been told you would need a 100ft of 25mm wide heatwrap with a 50% overlap for the headers and a 50ft roll for the up pipe and down pipe to be wrapped .You would also need stainless steel ties to fix either end and some heat proof paint to protect the wrap.

Default HEADERS - BREAKING NEWS

For anyone thats interested in getting headers from Ian:

After several conversations with the person that does my mapping and other well know modders, I have been advised that for higher powered cars, especially with uprated (bigger) turbos for example TD05/06 18g or 20g and bigger, to get the best results, I would need UNequal length tubular headers.

After contacting Ian and discussing my requirements with him, H&S are now going to be offering two types of headers - Equal and Unequal.

Ian has assured me the design they are working on will be on par with the likes of the HKS and the GT Spec II headers but with the bonus of being manufactured here in the UK

There are no pics at the moment but as soon as H&S have produced the first one ready to go out (thats mine BTW ), either he or I will get some pics put up.

Get your names down now whilst they are at the GB price!

All that remains to be said is, a big thanks to Ian for not only listening to what his customers needs are but then doing something about it, no questions asked. Amazing

If anyone wants any further info, you're more than welcome to PM me.

Jeff

If I buy the centre pipe off here i make up the 5plus so that means we get it at £60 or £70.50inc Vat? and if i dont have fitting do i get free P&P seeing as im only buying 1 thing will I be entitled.

cheers,

I dont think he's charging for the P&P on headers as well if you're too far away for the free fitting.

it didn't but i've welded a couple of patches over it for now. trouble is being an early classic the ecu is a self learning so doesn't like running spot on at start up at the moment and hold back a little bit too. still only a few more miles and it should be fine.

here's the biggest surprise, it passed an mot like that!!! still it'll do for mot time next year. if the numbers get up enough i'll be putting a decat on it

iirc - long cente section will be £150 + the vat and a little more for having it with the resonator in it. Ian can you confirm the extra charge please.

Thanks,
