Thumbs up SPORT CAT DETAILS

Hi m8

do u know the what the centre section flange reduces down to, does it narrow to the standard 2.5" or 3" as well.

whats the costs for H&S to fit the down pipe.
do they wrap or not, if yes how much.

did you know scoobyworld have Ninja Downpipe with Fast flow Sports Cat
for £299.00.

Im not sure of the performance difference, but what a price, I wonder if they would do a group buy.

I will most probably be intrested in a catted down pipe, just checking on performance of scoobyworlds.

Cheers m8

De Cat down pipe open neck for JDM STI RA 02 in 3"

Also I was wondering if they could supply a piece of 3" stainless pipe 5" in length so i can mate the down pipe to a Nur spec R 3" system.
It has an initial 2.5" mating surface which im going to cut off and weld on 3" pipe and 3"plate.
Dont know if that reads very well?

Im sure they have heard of it being done before
Sorry if its a bit drawn out, If needs be I can ask for the latter parts seperately.

Hi Ian

I will be changing the back box eventually anyway so would it be ok to go for the 3"??

i take it a classic's exhaust system 3 piece then? Down pipe --> centre--> back box??

If so i may be interested in an angled back box aswell... If i can afford it!!

Also what is the advantage in going for the 3" as opposed to 2.5"?
Thanks

The centre is 2.5 " as standard but can be made in 3" if required. As for wrapping the down pipe we don't as standard but could is required ...cost what ever the heat wrap costs ???

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR FITTING HIGH FLOW CATTED DOWN PIPES.

Down pipe no problem and yes we can supply you a piece of 3" tube ,do you also need a separate 3" flange ??

Its a very good price indeed and the Ninja systems are highly regarded, but do bare in mind that you'll need to put aside £50 for fitting, which H&S are offering free, so not too disimilar if we get the GB price.

Also, they don't offer details on how much gains are had or the details of the sprots cat....is it 100 cell or higher?

hi,

the price that they have published is a limited offer while their stocks last. what they don't say is how many they have. it only needs to be 1 and then all others are x price.

Also as ns04 has said you'd need to pay for fitting on that as well so that'll put the price up even more.

thanks,

matt.

JDM Forester turbo classic shape

You can get a c/tb, s/tb and a t/tb

So the centre pipe (that caveman is buying)and backbox (that I am buying) will fit I imagine. Caveman and I both have an s/tb by the way.

Sorry guys, but as I've explained to Mneame, for financial reasons, I have to retract my provisional participation in this GB. I don't think it'll have much impact on the GB at all and I'll continue to try and drum up interest in the Sports cat DP GB prices in the hope that others wil benefit from what could be a very good buy. Be that as it may, I still don't like having to retract an offer, so I apologise.

Matt,

Would make sense if I changed my original back box (3" pipework) to a Jap style (still 3" piping) as this will bring the numbers up to 3, heading towards the magical 5. Will update the list.

because i have a Blitz Back box that has a flange to fit an OE centre pipe, therefore i will need the new centre pipe to have a OE flange to fit the BB.

does that make more sense?

Yep, that makes sense.

From what I understand, to get any benefit of fitting a 3" section of pipe, you would need to have all the other bits of pipe the same diameter - downpipe & backbox.

The OE stuff is 2.5". So the 3" centre section that you've enquired about would have to narrow down to 2.5" at both ends, which would just restrict it. So you might as well just go for the 2.5" decat centre section. Make sense?

If Im wrong, I'll get me coat and go home

<gets ready to order a taxi>

Im sure Ian (Scoobyexhausts) will explain it far better that I can when he next looks on here.

well the blitz bb has a 3inch pipe up untill the flange like you say it then morphs into the 2.5 for the flange, so i'm unsure what to get. i would prefer the 3 inch for future mods but like you say the flange will just restrict it.

But any way give me a price on the 3inch with OE flanges and the price of the 2.5 and i'll tell ya when i find out more.

As you are to far to participate in the free fitting we won't charge you for P+P and for wrapping the down pipe, the only extra you will have is buying the wrap. Not sure how much that is.

Jay_bee sort of summed that up ,but you mentioned for " future mods " you will still have the restiction at each end ,it might be best to buy the 2.5 " for now and when you are ready to start modding 350 + then sell the 2.5" system and start again with a genuine 3" system .The 3" centre if you do want it with the 2.5" ends will cost you £100 +vat

Ian

Seeing as Im too far away to benefit from the free fitting (Lancaster in Lancs) part of the deal, would you be able to extend that offer to me regarding the P&P?

Also, would you be able to wrap the headers, if so how much is that going to cost?

Cheers
