Thanks Ian that makes sense! Im standared power at the min but an aiming for around 300bhp. but what im really wanting is faster acceleration, quicker spool up. would you recommend the 2.5, 3, or a combo as above for this???
Lots of questions I know but id sooner get the right one first time.

Thanks for your help.

Doh, Thanks guys, If I'd read the whole thing I'd have seen you post!!
Does the same £135 + VAT apply for this model of DP? Also do H&S stock the Diode type module to stop the engine management light comming on with the removal of the standard DP on my motor?

If I could just work out what parts I needed to get, you could put me down for a full system!!

Can anyone here help?

Looking for either a 3" or 2.5" full, turbo back plus up-pipe system for an MY03 WRX blobeye 4 door. It will have an 18G fitted with other suitable bits with a target of 350/350.

I've been trawling around and have asked questions but so far I can't get an answer that tells me what I need to know, i.e. buy this, this and this and it'll cost you £X.

I wonder how many other people have read this thread and thought it would be something they'd like to go for but, like me, haven't got a clue what to ask for, so don't get involved? I can't be the only one can I?

P.S. Thanks to Ian and Andy F for their help so far. Maybe I'm not asking the right questions, as I still don't understand the answers!

nxg you would need an up-pipe, downpipe, centre and a backbox and for that kind of power i would prob go for a 3" system and would also include as set of headers alot of cash but alot in return ,hope this helps

Cheers :-) Now I'm stuffed as Andy Forrest has just PM'd me and said he'd be happy with the 2.5" system for a 350/350 car. I'm just worried I'll have to replace the lot again for a 3" system to go onto the next stage (400+), or if I go for a 3" system now, it'll adversly affect spool up or some such on the 350 car.

Argghhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Yes the price is the same and as for the engine management light we sell the resistor type £10.

Just to help NXG... so sorry for the slight hijack

I have a 3" turbo back H&S system on my Type R, and the only problem I have is boost creep which means Im hitting boost cut in 5th when under full load. Im running a 1.35bar map on my PFC but hits 1.56bar @ 6000 rpm. If you want some more info, send me a PM.

Ian

Could you tell me if the headers are single or double slip joints? And just to make sure I understand, the reason you would have a double slip joint would mean it is going to reduce the effects of when they are cold IE stop them from blowing?

And when wrapping them, you wrap over the slip joints as well?
Sorry if these are daft questions

Cheers

Jeff

Yes all joints on the manifold are double slipped jointed this gives a certain amount of movement with expansion and stop blowing when cold. When being wrapped you can wrap the joins aswell.

Hope this helps

HI Forgive me if my questions are answered in the thread but...

I want a decated downpipe and decatted centre section (late 97 classic)... are these 3"?

What are the prices for these two items?

Also i currently have a scoobysport catback system (not sure of bore size).. will the H & S stuff fit on ok and be interchangable for MOT time??

I will add myself to the list once some one answers my question..

Thanks

Yaz

A Scoobysport back box is in 2.5" pipe work ,would you still want the down pipe and centre to be 3".

prices for these are £135 + vat for the downpipe if we get 10+ and £75 + vat for the centre section if we get 5 +

you'll need to check with / answer ian's question on the interchangable front. ian is from h&s btw if you hadn't realised, so bar far the best qualified to answer that for you.

thanks

matt.
