i want to try and arange for passenger laps moneys to go to children in need appeal.
I think it may be a problem though, asking people for £10 for charity after they just forked out £10 for a wrist band.
I am going to talk to donington tomorow to see if they will waive the fee as a one off, any asistance from RobMac on this would be apreciated.

OK Rob, thanks for that.
I had a pretty busy day at work so didnt get chance to call myself.
I will wait for you to post here then Rob, or email me. Be good if we can raise some money as a one off, i have all the oficial fund raising pack and info.
It would probably mean a few of the participating cars were allowed to run in more than one sesion, as strapping people into my car safely can take a few minutes away per person and limit the runs i could do quite significantly.
thanks for the help Rob.

Just a quick point but I think a very important one.
November 12th is Remembrance Day
================================
I hope that the event organisers have taken this into account and will call a short halt to proceedings at 11.00 am as a sign of respect.
Rob Mac, Can you see if this will be done?
Mike.

OK lads, TYRES Northampton are now going to be in attendance.
They (I) will issue a wrist-band to those that have paid the £10. Those that purchase new tyres will not have to pay this fee.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Stef.
PS Chris, see members gallery for more pics. You'll have to see them at Donno to fully appreciate them though.

Hi guys,
has anyone considered the impending petrol situation? If the public do start 'panic buying' as it seems some have already started we may be a tank or two short on Sunday.

I've spoken to Alison Lloyd, as Vaughan wasn't in. As requested, I've sent them a fax with our plans.
Rob Mac is calling into the circuit today, to hang Vaughan out of a control tower window by his eyelids
I'll let you know what they say.

Good point, I'm hoping to get along to watch.
Too old, too poor (OK too frightened) to get out there.
John, happy to contribute a "tenner" irrespective of discussions with Donno management. Brother in Law tells me they were charging £45 @ the TVR trackday!
If I don't make it I'll get a cheque to you anyway. It's a worthy cause and it must be good PR?

I trust we'll be retiring to the pub again afterwards?
The place Rob Mac sent us to after the last Donno Day was fine - the steak sandwhich was top notch.
Chris.

Thanks for that Pete!!!
Had the week from hell at work and not been able to chase up whilst dono were open.
Hopefully Rob can stick the boot in too and get dono to let this one days passenger charges go to charity.
The biggest issue for me is the time it takes to strap people into the car, adjusting the full harneses to be safe takes time. This is why i really need open track access to make this work, otherwise i will only get 2 runs per session.
I am open to anyone having a run with me. Just bring some fresh undies (and a £10) as it's quite a raw car be a passenger in. A full face helmet is a good idea too, open face helmets tend to make you feel you are having a nose bleed at 140MPH
There will be some great scooby's there to have runs in, with PeteC, Harj in the 22B (i may have to knick a run harj ), Stef in CK1, Docjock in the 5 door etc.
I just hope it's dry!!
It would be fun to end the day with some doughnuts on the main straight, as my tyres will be dead by the end of the day. Cant see them letting me though. LOL
Spectating is free, over 16's only for passenger runs and in the pit lane. All passengers must sign an indemnity form in the circuit office and have a wrist band fitted.
All drivers please dont forget, never leave your car unatended with the keys in, nothing we can do to stop scum attending so be vigilent.
Fuel at the track is SUL and costs 99.9 pence/litre. I sugest you fill up at donington services and then use the intrack pumps there after. Keep your tanks at least 1/3 full, you will have less chance of fuel surge that way.
Look forward to seeing you all there, I'll be the one with the dirty face, i always end up covered in black soot from the exhaust flame outs as its right at my side.
Please introduce yourself and dont be surprised if i dont recognise you straight away, i have a crap memory for names.

As Banshi posted, I personally will simply make you a cash donation which they do not need to know about if they won't play ball I am sure most others will be happy to as well.
ChrisB.....looks like you have just been elected Entertainment Officer

John F,
I'm sorry, I don't remember you, you the guy with the blue and yellow rollerskate ?
Yeah, should be a top day, sorting of hoping for dry and wet.
John, you still got that camera mount on the offside headlight ? If so, if you have time, see if you can make that fairly solid (I cannot remember if it was or not). The bullet camera finally arrived Sat. morning and seems to work well. Would be good to run the camera there either pointing forwards or better still pointing backwards looking towards exhaust and cockpit
Cheers
Ian
