i used to flare out arches back in the days with a normal car sissor jack and a block of wood, just make sure its bolted down and wind the ****** outwards, got about 10mm per front arch on my old nova and had the bodyshop cut out the rot on the rear and weld them in winder
as long as you wind them out in the same place per arch you cant really tell, its a subtle mod
when we did my brothers old corsa it was a totally diffrent ball game
take off the plastic trims, wind the arches out, then figure how to stick the trims back down

Hows the welding coming along David? Would have thought you were thouroughly sick of it by now. I saw pauls shell at Zen the other day all stripped out ready for seam welding, looks a hell of alot of work.

More than that, I hope you weigh the front and the gross and so determine the weight and the front/rear distribution.
Are you working on it David, you are very quiet now!
Really want to see how you fare with the plastic doors and 'glass' as i think there is considerable weight in all doors.
Just so tempting to follow suit.
Graham.

Ive been to the autosport show talking to a fair few companies and have some good ideas. None that I will share on the board as yet though.
Been busy with the new job.. bit too early start for me so may have to rethink that one as its stopping me do what I enjoy... the car!
Intending to do some work tomorrow.. and also to try and source the brake hosing, looking at pedal boxes today.. maybe fit a pedal with a 'bias bar' thingy

Why didn't Dunlop have any tyres on their stand! Girlie calenders etc but no tyres...
Kumho were the exact opposite ( ) so i know where my £££ will be spent.
Seemed to me to be more like a Motor Show than a race car show.
bought nothing!

Couldn't get a day off work so soon into 2006, so Sat it had to be...
Indoor Arena was surprisingly good!
I have tried the performance remould route already and they did nothing for me or my times. The tyres went to Bob'5 who drags on them with known success!
iirc Maxsport are the only Company to have remould 'slicks' to DOT spec so are legal for the road, something I really want for my car.
Kumho's again I think.

It was so funny because Mellow thought he was following a stock UK with an HKS Hiper...not a car with nigh on exactly the same mods as his plus a Mark map It was ever so funny coming out of Melbourne sideways pulling away from David Brown in his Supercharged Exige with Adam in the passenger seat and Mutant Matt sitting next to me, the pair of us waving at them
IIRC this shot of my car is with Danny Fisher in the passenger seat, or possibly Alan Garrad:

Hey Tim - small world, but I now own the V-Ltd that Mellow Yellow used to own - still had the SIDC National day/ Donny sticker on the windscren
