When i got TCR from my parents attic it all became clear that the memory of TCR was much better than the reality. Of the two I prefer scalextric now. TCR both players raced flat out all the time round the outside of the track and only switched to try to make the impossible pass. Reminds me of F1 now - if you take the right line no-one can get past. Scalextric you at least have a chance - you take the corner on the max and you win.... you take it 1% above the max and you crash and burn
