Ferry and Hotel deal is being dealt with chaps, Hotel is now going to be £20 per night and the Ferry is around £120 - £140 depending on departure, its cheaper to leave at 2pm onwards by £20 but its upto the panel of Scoobynetters

I was speaking to little Theo yesterday, he told me that he tried to book at Zur Burg for the end of June but they were full. He asked whether any English guys were staying there and Frau Batty said "No, none". So I presume that she has binned our reservation! Not a problem, there are plenty of other places but maybe not near the Lindenhof

I suppose the Zurburg have binned our reservations as they were being very particular about booking as I insisted that people shouldn't be charged if they left early and I wanted a discount!

New Hotel is around the corner from Zurburg so Lindenhoff is still walking distance A full Itinerary of the trip will be emailed to people with times of meeting and where when we are over there.

Hi all,

When I was at ZurBurg last week, ...the old lady said that she has no rooms available for me the end of June.

When I asked abouth the reservations from the UK-gang,...she said again that she didn't have rooms,...and that this was because of the Motorbike racing on the GP-circuit in that weekend !

She didn't say that you didn't booked, she only said that she was out of rooms that weekend,....maybe your reservations still stand,...just check please !!

I hope I did not make it more difficult than it already is !

I dont think you will be able to get the discount, I am afraid.

I do at least 4 off road events in Europe each year so I have purchased approx £900 worth os P&O Stock ( not shares ). Gives you 50% off Dover Calais and 40% off all other P&O stuff. Paid for itself v. quickly and still worth approx £900.

If you can hold on a little longer then I will post a phone number where you can all call with your details - names, car registration and accomodation requirements. That way it can all be charged to your credit cards in one easy go. I'll post the phone number on Wednesday (don't ask!) and you can phone through your requirements then. If you're not around on Wednesday and want to reserve a place, then drop me an e-mail and I'll make the reservation, but PLEASE let me know when you can call with payment details or send a cheque. It looks like we're all be staying at the Zur Burg again. It's one of the few places in Nurburg with sufficient room for everyone. The cost is about £50 a night for a double. There are places for £40 (or less) but they tend to be B&B and not have a bar to loiter at whilst waiting for Harj to get ready.

The plan is to be on the 14:00 ferry. We should be able to easily reach Nurburg by 21:00 unless people choose to go for a tourist drive around Brussels again.

Here are the current requirements as I understand them. First number is for the car and driver, second number is for passengers.

Now I am really confused. Fortunately, I am also stupid so that accounts for a lot of the confusion!

I am on the list twice ( Stevie and Steve Gaunt ) as there are 4 travelling in my car so two rooms is fine. BUT, we are all blokes and have double rooms. AAAAARRRGGGHHHHH. Whilst we are all friends, TWIN rooms would be a lot more socially acceptable, particularly due to the bribery that has taken place to leave nagging, sorry, loving girlfriends at home. Please?

Also, P&O reckon the ferry out is 2.30 and the return is 3.30, so I booked these.
