Hi chaps

Got myself a WRX STI Type RA V-Limited Version 5 555 WRC edition No. 843/1000 a few weeks ago, used to have a MY95 WRX with a few mods.

have to say, fully loving the RA A totally different, and better car to the WRX.

The car is standard at the mo, apart from new Bronze Work Emotion CR's I have just had fitted. i have plans tho...nothing to, mad tho....

have a few questions tho, are all version 5 v-limited versions 555 WRC editions? As mine has this on the plate on the dash and the 555 in teh front blue seats??? or is there a differnce in specs? if so, what are they?

I'll post a couple of pics up once it stops snowing.

Your right, it's not. It's just 'Limited'.

As they use roman numerals for the version numbers.

To clarify, up to and including version 4, they are 'V-Limited'. And after this they are 'Limited'.

I stand corrected - I got my info from the Subaru Impreza book by Brian Long.

I have found a brochure for the Version VI Limited's - click here

I fairly sure they were standard spec on the wrc limited models....those crazy japanese probably swapped them for aftermarket ones.

They came with both gearknobs, the titanium one was in the glovebox, the leather one was fitted. Lots of the Titanium gearknobs were stolen on the boat on the way to the UK, so you normally see the cars with a leather ****. The Titanium one is a horible thing to drive with anyway, too thin and dificult to use compared to a good leather one, which the stock item is.

Wink

Did you know that the V5's are '555 WRC Limited'
and the V6's just 'WRC Limited'

Another useless piece of info

R.

I must have a look in the glovebox then - maybe that would explain that rattling

I've not done anything to it but the previous owner put in a 2.5l engine. Maybe the suspension has been altered as there appear to be adjuster nuts on the bottom of the struts (red struts - is that standard?). Also brakes seem better than on my STI4 (which has Pagid grooved discs) so maybe they have been uprated, but definitely still using the Subaru 4 pots.

Hi Steve

Very nice car you have there. I see from the 1st pic you're in a Sprint or similar. Would you be interested in the Scooby Speed Challenge that I am organising next year? For details see here. In fact if any of the rest of you are interested then please post on the thread - as our cars were made for this sort of thing - not for showing and shining

Cheers

Terry

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../DSC01534a.jpg

Hi Terry, Rick & All...

Thought i'd better say Hi... I got an Sti 6 Ra V- Ltd (1037/2000).

Not alot going on in the way of Mods at the moment, just a Fujitsubo Cat Back system. I've not had it very long so not had a chance to do much too it, but got a few plans in the pipeline...

Here's a couple of pics for now but will try get decent ones on here tomorrow...
