SIDC Karting Day.
James,
I believe you're going to the Playing Fields on Saturday. I've given my cheque for £57 payable to SIDC to Andy Barker. Please grab it off him, he's a dodgy geezer who might cross out SIDC and put his own name in its place
Hope thats o.k.

This is going to be fun, especially if it is wet
Just be a bit careful when you get into the complex as the lane down the side of the speedway track and into the kart track car park has loads of nasty deep ruts in it, last year an F355 made a series of horrible noises as the owner came down it way too fast.
Yex - trying to break 43 seconds for a lap

The thunder has just passed over... the sky is blue, the sun is shining... hope it stays that way

A current weather report for anyone who's interested:
Sunny with patchy clouds and the odd shower, bit nippy in the strong breeze
Sal & Chris
See you all there later
PS. I only live down the road from the kart track

Great day - thanks to James for organising it (count me in for the next one).
Also thanks to my teammates Mark Ryan and David Lewis for putting up with a kart novice in the team (I couldn't believe it at the drivers briefing when they asked who hadn't karted before and mine was the ONLY hand that went up - "aim for the bloke in the red suit etc..." LOL).
Cheers to Richard Gledhill for the run home (part way) and to Puff for the bit back to our house on the deserted back roads.
Highlight of the evening - must be when I spun our kart on to the kerb at the end of my 35 minute stint - climbed out completely nakkered and when I went to drag it back on to the track my hand slipped off the front and I fell spreadeagled on my back on the racing line.....can't wait for the photo of that one LOL

Thanks again to James Harvey from Team Wibble & Wobble.
A long day - finally got back to Bristol at 1am.
And when can we do it again - See my thread for one close to Yeovil 30th Sept. Places are limited however.
Did anyone else get jip from that copper which had pulled a bike on the drop off the A10 towards Rye House (where you turn left at the roundabout by the Pub). Came down there in left lane to turn left at the roundabout, he was parked in layby. Right lane was clear so I could move out a little cause he wasen't completely in the layby and then he started waving his hands about moving to the right etc etc to give them room. He had a real strop on - anyone else upset him/ buz him before I got there ?

Nope - he was gone by the time I got there (about 19:00). Good to see you again Mark, did you win in the end?
Matt

Hi Matt
Small world isn't it.
Yes we did get victory in the end, the bad news was Lisa went fastest which settles that argument in her favour (for now).
If you make that trip back to Wim then say Hi from me. I'm sure we'll be back after seeing how good Dave T.S's car looked.
Bump into you again sometime somewhere else I expect.
Cheers
Mark

Morning all,
Glad everyone had a good time. Thanks for all the great feedback!
I am sooo happy that the Weather held out, My team didnt quite come last... 14/15
and I dont ache to badly, unlike Linda....
I certainly shall be looking to organise another event, probably towards the end of the summer (what summer I hear you cry)! Might even see if we can get those loopy Rotax Max Karts (90mph 0-60 in 4.5 secs)
Also, as the nights close in, I will be looking at arranging a real pain session... Paintballing... who's gonna be up for some real bruising then
Thank-you all for supporting this event and making it the success it was. Seeing Scoobies on the Kart track at the end of the night was a stroke of madness that made me chuckle
James.
PS. Anyone know what happened to the Scoobysport team
?
