A 106 rallye 16v @ Cadwell !!!

In addition the car is following a Clio williams with some amazing driving with plenty of lift off oversteer including one very well handled tank slapper !

it is a stripped rallye p2 with a GTI engine. The rallye's are 8v. I think it is fairly standard. 800kg's 120-130 bhp !

Dont get me wrong, the 106 both s1 and s2 are great cars, out of the 2 i would take the s1 and switch to the 1600 16v lump, it can be done in less than a day, i know, ive done it, well helped.

you could look for a euro one, left hooker, cant remember the exact model name, but its the equivelant of the UK rallye, S2, they stripped them out and they have the 1600 16v in already, if its just a track car, LHD shouldnt matter once you have got to grips with it...

BUT, dont get me wrong here, have you done many track days???

Tuning the car straight away is not needed, roll bars, and a decent suspension set up will see you get the most enjoyment out of the car, learn how to get the most out of the relativley standard car before extracting more i would say.

Bearing the above point in mind, i wopuld then buy one of these

far better standard car IMHO. The lift off oversteer is great fun when you get the hang of it, a good set of tyres, bilistiene suspension exahust and a filter will see you with a very good track car. Keep the 15" put on a good set of RL slicks and off you go, oh, DS2500 pads, keep the standard discs, there top class to start with.

i got mine after the first scoob got wrecked, was a little dissapointing at first, but looking back, i had more fun in that than any other car, that includes my MY05 PPP WRX.

people go on about the twisties in there scoob, i would have given any standard scooby a run for there money around the B roads in mine.

Best bit, you can have one for around £3,00 and up. What ever yu buy mate, if your interested, pm me, i have got a few contacts that can sort you with parts and good advice for tuning it. Also have a look at 306 rallye register and 106 rallye register, lots of good sound advice

Cheers

John
