Ive saved this one a few months back.Since ive had it ive changed the turbo to a td04 item, bell mouth down pipe 3 inch into 2 1/2 inch and middle section decat.New front pads and discs and inner front cv boots, rear brake pads and new spark plugs with an oil change using car lube 10w/60 fully synthetic oil.Drives a lot better now the brakes used to drag a bit but sorted that out.

Good stuff mate, was initially going for a td04 but then got told a vf35 would be better... Not looking to take it more than 250-270 then put some bc coilovers and a few other suspension mods

Think a vf35 would put you into the 300bhp mark easy with a map

As yours appears to be a JDM model (S/Tb), it will already have a TD04 as standard, as it comes with the equivalent year WRX engine (so big cams compared to UK cars).

Have you paid a visit to http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f75/
Lots of info and UK/European members upgrades...........

It was apparently running a vf41 before I bought it mate but they've put the standard turbo back on to my annoyance... So sourcing a vf35 to chuck on now with supporting mods to give it more.

Have tried to sign up there buddy although it won't let me keeps coming up with an error message about my email address... Gave up which is ashame as after a browse there's lots of good info on there.

First thing i did was begin to tidy up the headlights as they were starting to look a little faded.

Plans are for wheel, tyre, suspension changes and an exhaust change then we will see where it goes from there.

Bit of a thread resurrection ??

According to the spec sheet it should be fitted with HID headlights which will have a D2R bulb (item6) for dip and an HB3 (item 1) for main.

Usual problem with HID's is the ballast (item 24) mounted under the headlight fills with water long before the bulb goes.
