I'm hoping Tuesday night I will be able to play until late - but I'm still on-call (albeit second line this week, back-up for a new guy).

Oh dear... think I upset a few people on the =SOD= server last night.
Obviously their definition of base ra*ing isn't the same as ours.

Apparently if you shoot down a heli within a (virtual) 10 mile radius, your a naughty person or noooob!

Had a few problems with missile missing the other aircraft last night, fortunately the plane hitting them took em out... apparently thats noobish too ... even though it was accidental.

 

Should have come over to the Bug server last night me Evil Ming and I rocked

 

I got kicked off a Server for swearing the other night.

The rude word I used? "idiot"

I should be ashamed!

 

Bah! I wouldn't worry about it -- a base is a base is a base, in my opinion. It's war -- not a pushing & shoving match between kids fighting for the swings at lunchtime!

The whole point is that it's a BATTLE simulator and as such there are clear goals -- to win either by taking all the flags or through attrition of the enemy ranks. And if that means nuking the living f**k out of an uncappable so be it! I mean, should we let the enemy get a "foothold" just so they can have a good time? What if you let them and then you lose the map? How crappy is that?

Naw, DrEvil -- we had it right last nite. We were well within our rights to brick on their uncaps however we saw fit. I look forward to tonite.

Ah, that's not bad. I got booted when I offered an admin on one of the German servers a "sensual Ewok massage" in order to "calm down" when my C4-laden "plane-diving" into their hangars caused them significant grievances..

Ummm... I won't be on this evening as we're going out for a meal with friends to celebrate:

a) our 4th wedding Anniversary (Thursday)
b) my 40th birthday (tomorrow)

So I'll be officially middle-aged tomorrow and incapable of playing BF2 any more

I'll be getting the dominoes out and playing down the local pub from now on

 

AF/EF tomorrow night - I'll set the server profile before then.

but i havent installed it ..

last time ..**** up patch took me 3 hours to install the game again ....

damn - last night was a lot of fun... right until EA decided to remove my account Server

I managed a cracking lucky shot in the fighter at one point... saw a jeep zooming across the landscape and reflexively lobbed the bombs at it... caught it smack on and saw three kills pop up on the screen.... all SNAFU and no doubt cursing me!

 

my stats had gone from bfhq last night too, back again now but will points last night go on?

 

Well if you loose the points, everyone else will to most likely.

Usually they filter through, but can take 1-2 days to do so, post a problem with EA's account servers.
