I think my PC has met it's maker in BF2:SF
Playing at 1024x768 and it's struggling with all those light sources.

Need to take a few pages out of the Doc Evil book of stealth upgrades and self justification me thinks...

Sorry I bailed out - for once really wasn't in the mood to play tonight.
Some strange going on's anyway last night, not least that the autobalance didnt seem to be working as it should. 11 V 8 for a good bit

Plus most non-snafu's didnt seem to know what a squad is for

I'm not bitter, just crap

Was a bit odd, there didn't seem to be any organisation to our fighting last night, just a lot of helicopter crashing

Why we were having a chat about the weather. What were you doing, waiting for a bus?

Seriously, I'm not sure what we were doing, apart from getting killed a lot

So you were taking out the artillery and command trailer... or spawn camping?

Oh don't worry, I will

The anti BR and SC rules still apply

I just couldn't get into it last night, bad day at work - hence the e-tail therapy

I think the problem was there were a lot of new peeps, asking questions about everything from key controls to wtf do we do next, and just generally trying to get the hang of things. I guess being new and a squad leader kind of phased them. tbo I have hardly ever play that map and wasnt aware at that stage that it was a spawn point. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

It was a strange game experience last night, cant really put my finger on it as to why. I think only three of us were using the goodie/baddie channels in TS with everyone else staying in the pre-game area which confoosed things no end.

Yeah, you get nights like that where it 'feels' off - fortunately, not very often.

Don't about it mate, I'm not - but reckon I have some mileage to wind up Laserman

PS. you missed 'uncap-able' in front of spawn point

I tried joining squads and following the leader etc, but most of the time they kept doing really silly things like getting in a vehicle and driving off without me. I gave up in the end and played as a lone wolf instead...

You may be using this already, but use 'Q' to bring up the command rose and select 'need a pick up' - not only will it 'say' this to everyone, but your blue/green dot on the map will flash yellow.

Join my squad if you on the same side as me next time, I promise you I try to stick together and pick people up etc..

Yeah if I hear someone shout 'need pickup' and I'm nearby I tend to stop driving and give the 'mount up' command. To be honest the 'command rose' thing is a bit fiddly to use.

Never reverse back to get them though, invaribly you'll end up running them over as they're running towards you

Command rose is a bit fiddly, but useful none the less.

Neanderthal - I've done that a few times, "need pick up".. "ok".. squish.. "Sorry, I screwed up"

yeah but it's worse when people bail out of a moving vehicle, die and then you (the driver) get -4 for their stupidity!

It's also a bit annoying when you get out of your tank, are halfway through fixing it and your teammate jumps in a cruises off into the sunset!

Almost justifies a couple of AT mines in front before trying to repair it

1. Always grip your weapon firmly with both hands and aim carefully...

2. Always pay attention and don't get distracted from the task in hand..

You are now ready to go do battle...
