A magazine is one source of info, but as i've seen Chris times first hand before then these are more real to me and the hundreds of other people there watching that some magazine test where all we get is a few pictures and their word for it... afterall, certain mags have been known to bull**** before due to the fabled golden handshake. Like I have already said, I have Chris on video from Santa Pod or York and these people use real timing equipment. As far as i'm concerned Evo can say whatever they want, you and I were not there, so how these can be more real figures than ones I have seen with my own eyes and also have on video I really don't know.

Anyway, jog on son, somewhere a village is missing an idiot.

Please also note how no blob-eye or bug-eye owners seem to be coming to your defense and this is a Subaru site... speaks volumes.
Proven sqm's, why, because you say it's proven ??? Bet there are a lot or WRX owners who have beaten clio owners on a strip but you dont hear them blowing off about it.Plus drag races tends to be more down to driver ability rather than cars ability. On the road the WRX and the clio are very similar albeit going by what ive read the WRX has the edge in every mag ive read and they cant all be wrong so you can 'jog on' you ****. Plus you admit yourself that someone on this thread claims to have done a 13.9 sqm in his WRX which beats the clio time you stated. But then again he probably is making that up and you naturally never lie do you. Dont need anyone coming to my defense as im not making any false claims. Name one false claim that i have made you dick. I didnt state that i had blown any clios off the road or run low 13's on a sqm. All i stated is what was written in a magazine and what the manufacturer of your car also claims. Who actually says things like jog on anyway??? Are you maxwell from big brother you half wit?

If it were possible to have an identical run, same driver, same parameters, same everything then:

172 beats bugeye

182 beats blobeye.

Thats it then. Argument over. You must be correct. There couldnt possibly be any other outcome than that. Unless of course i state the opposite. If your going to post nonsense like that please be sure to say that it is of course only 'IMO' and nothing more. ****.

My post is based on fact of the car.

No other factors.

Says the guys who says "knickers in a twist" and " rain on your parade" lol

I love the way one persons opinion which doesn`t agree with yours is definatly wrong but hey...yours is in a magazine so it must be right as all the other magazines agree (except that Dutch one that must be run by people who can`t drive) don`t they!?

My opinions in a magazine???? What are you on about. Didnt realise i was an editor of a magazine. Its not my opinion you retard as i stated several times. I dont have first hand experience of a clio v's a wrx. You guys claimed earlier that a clio was faster to 100 not me. Ill repeat, you claimed this. All i did was point out that i had read else where that this was not the case. Not my opinion but infact the opinion of whoever wrote the article and the opinion of Renault themselves ( check their website ). Please tell when when i ever claimed these as my own opinions???

I couldnt care less to be honest and if you slow down and re read what ive written i state several times that i think both cars are very similar. You just get all excited and write any old tosh in your reply.

Ill say it once more so hopefully you understand it this time..... The figures i have seen in several magazines etc all state similar stats for 0-100 albeit the WRX was faster. I do not have an opinion on this i am only stating what ive read and that is contradicts what you claim. Dont know go on a rant about your experiences about sqm's as it was you and your fellow clio owners who started off the argument by comparing the 0-100 times only later did you then go on about dragstrips and qm's. The only opinion i ever stated was that i thought both cars were similarly fast. So calm the **** down and take your time reading threads in the future before you respond with a heap of pish.

Not as easy to prove with stats but 172's pan the foock out of new age WRX's on track as well.

Surely if you have owned both, you are qualified to pass judgement.

I have owned both and not only is the Cup faster, it also WAY more fun, which is actually more important to me

Win Win!

Damn, need to keep the thread going So I'll just add that we had both a newage wrx and a 172cup at the same time -until the cup was written off and my conclusion was the same as davyboy's
Both are good cars no doubt, but the wrx has no soul and is extremely dull in nearly every area

Hmmm yes you are obviously way to intelligent for me apart the amazing amount of bad spelling etc in your posts. (Who the **** says enuf these days?) ..to quote some **** on a forum " maybe you should read back at my posts " ...sounds like good advice to me! Again you hit me with your wit and try and insult me...what is your problem? If there is anyone local to Blackburn who wants a friendly quick blast then fine...but don`t sit behind your computer 100 `s of miles away with your **** stuck in a rolled up copy of Evo

Couldnt keep it standard, as fear of losing to something French.

Only thing is now is to get someone to drive my 180bhp Renault 5 turbo and do some back to back testing with my Scoob, Anyone like to guess the outcome.
