Still; the car was drivable home and no harm done, but what a dissapointment.
Anyone want a semi-fast Sti?"

So Graham, are you going to tell us what you've done that's transformed your car in just a week?
Paul is ****-on with that.
After Prescott it was obvious that I was the issue, simply not driving the thing right, and for all your comments, especially Pauls, i thank you.
I simply stabbed the throttle down earlier....but had the confidence in the car to cope with whatever might (but didn't) happen.
Funny thing was:
1
These are tracks I love but don't know too well.
2
Friggin' EVO wasn't there in my class.
Something to be learnt there too.
Mattty:
He never told me that!
The car is so stock it hurts. Only mods I could see were the Tein suspension and the AP racing brakes front and rear. The car certainly had pleanty of battle scars all over it.
Best I ran was 67.2 (or maybe 67.4?) in the damp/wet/dry and anything between!

Glad it went well Graham and sorry that I didn't make it up there to see you. If you let me know the remaining dates for the season I'll pick another (interesting) event and go there instead.
steve
p.s. Did you get the DVD?

p.s. Did you get the DVD?
Steve: Yes i did thanks, but on sunday night!
Will watch it tonight.
Terry: I think he only does Harewood (as many do up there) and was there on the sat too in the rain.
Think i was well ahead, but wasn't watching to hard as the timing was not exactly reliable sunday...
Sideways everywhere is not usually quickest on a hill climb, but very close to it is.
My daughter thought it the best car there

Graham,
For info only, Roy posted 32.61, did not see it, how does this compare to the class record, sounds like the second runs on the day was affected by heavy rain.

I remember Harewood as a lad.
Blame my father for taking me and then getting hooked on motorsport, still got some pictures of Minis and funny enough what looks like that red plastic E-type.
Spent a couple of hours this W/E mounting the breather catch tank and PS tank. 18aH jet ski battery has arrived and needs fastening to the chassis rail ala Stevenson, then just need to adjust the wiring to include a battery kill switch and its just about done.

Yes. Waiting for them to arrive.
Not sure if they will work, but will try them as a test, probably on the softest setting first.
I am worried about even more wheel lift at the back, but want to stop the front from diving any more than it does now.

Might enter the big meeting there in July, not sure yet as the Wife is a bit negative to the travel/time/overnight stay costs etc.
Still working on my tactics......
I wish John Stevenson would come down to Harewood. He will travel to Elvington, so maybe one day; that would be a treat for us all!
( I need a good teacher)

Just back from a very wet Loton Park hillclimb.
It has been a very long time since getting so bloody wet ALL DAY....
Batteries on the vid camera crashed again so no picks which is a pity because bagged 1st in class and third FTD. Until the very last drying-track runs of the single seaters i was in fact FTD and FTD off the start line!
The car is ballistic.
Even in the wet it ran a 62.8 (58.3 in the dry) and drove/cornered as solid as a rock. Had a few 'exciting' moments, but this chassis is now just superb.
Engine's not too bad too!
The AST's are about where they need to be. Since the Barbon / Harewood runs and all the motorway miles between, I've checked the tyre pressures ( 32/30 F/R) just once in 9 days and adjusted/changed nothing, but have come home with 3 first in Class, a near Class record and a near FTD.
And the gearbox is sound.
Thankyou PowerStation for the parts and the set-up, to Kumho for brilliant all-round tyres and to Andy F for such a great engine; gosh, maybe even I had something to do with this lot too.
:
Shelsley is next in 2 weeks, now there IS a REAL challenge believe me, just so scarey, but so great.

I was never going to ScoobyShootout, it clashed with a sprint at Kames... should have stayed at home, aherm, reliability issues

I'm gutted my car was off the road just due to a wheel bearing - would have loved that handling circuit

Ive posted up photos of the results sheet in SSO thread. Danny you actually came 9th because Neilo had first and second with the same time.
Good fun day out, tank slapper slides, hitting cones and dropping the anchor for the stop box, which became quite a feat to stop in when it was wet
Andy
