Cheers Polar, I'll give them a ring.

Dreamy, no I've never been a holiday rep, I've always worked in the motor trade, It is a coincidence though!

Well after not getting quotes under £1400 my renewal from A-Plan at £895 is looking rather nice
(Why I am happy at paying that much I do not know... )

What you need to do is have a wife whose parents live out in the sticks like mine. Can't really say much more in case someone from my insurance company is reading this page but my premium is £550 for a WRX Fully comp cost me £21 to have the missus put on.

This was Greenlights response to my online quote for imports

Japanese Imports
Due to demand our Annual Capacity within this area has been Exhausted.
Our Japanese import schemes are currently being re-negotiated with our Insurers.

I've driven allsorts, BMW 840, Legacy turbo, Hyundai coupe, Rover turbo, I wonder if this is worth mentioning? I've also driven a formula first, and a race prepped Mazda RX 7 so I think to say I'm inexperienced is unfair.
Bob, driving these in GT2 does'nt count

On the import side we now have rates with Groupama...if people are struggling we will always try and help out...we also enjoy chatting about the cars

Also Insbro (Jeremy from Randall Pace) has the same rates...

pirum, pirum, pirum, pirum, pirum....[humming to the sound of the pink panther]

Nah,

Seriously...name change cos I'm vain....P1 is now sold (went last Friday) and I am picking up my new toy tomorrow @ 10am from Lancasters....UK300 PPP, WR Replica Spoiler, Front Strut Brace, Quick Shift, PIAA Spots, Gauges, Pimp Tint, Alcon 330mm Brakes (off the P1), Rally front grill, and those funny little fish gill thingys that go between the grill and the lights

As I thought I'd keep the reg no...rather than trying to source a decent one for the UK300...I thought I'd keep P1 RUM....hence Pirum.... he he he he

As far as the quotes are concerned the best thing for people to do is call either me or Jeremy (not both as that wastes all our time, especially as the quotes will be exactly the same!!). We have both negociated special rates with Groupama specifically for Jap/Grey Import Scoobs...its a good policy...

...obviously we are not always the most competitive....but its always worth a chat...especially as we know all about the cars

If anyone wants a reference...I think the best person to speak to is Markus...his Black Beast is insured with yours truly...

As I said on the previous post....feel free to edit if required...

All the best

Tom

Does anyone have a contact number for Keith Micheal ?

I am currently with A-Plan £895,age30,6yrs NCB,garaged,no mods on my 95WRX RA.
I rang most of the other insurance companies but no one could beat this.

Anyone had any good quotes from companies?

Just got my renewal for Keith Michael and it was cheaper than last year. 95WRX with SS BB! Cheap(ish) insurance means more money to spend on mods!

Think I will call a few other companies before I definately renew. Always a good idea to check out what else is out there!

Sorry subman don't have the number for KM on me (at work!), will post it when I get home if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Someone call me?

tom's quite correct, he's insuring me, well Blackbeast, which is a MY94 WRX Wagon, so it's jap import and it's modified, so most places that do jap imports won't touch it. For more info take a look at the insurance section of my

Hey Guys, Gals

A Flux just done me 95 WRX for $629 (for $ read pounds !)
(42 full NCB 5k miles/year)
Admiral, Bennets and Privilege were all around $940. Best bit,
Flux don't need a tracker fitted !

INTERESTING ACCOUNTING -

Tried a quote for TPF&T with Performance Direct, it was $844 ! The kind lady explained that it was the high theft risk that made the policy so expensive. So I asked her to re-quote for third party only..... $841 !
Wow ! a whole $3 attributable to the "high theft risk"
Allowing for admin costs, where does the other $800 come in ??
So despite having one of the best handling and stopping cars on the road, we scoob owners, I must assume, are at high risk of torpedo-ing someone elses shopping trolley ??
Or of course we could just be getting ripped off ?!?!
