Hi men,
Good to see some new faces at the shire horse. Sorry i went without saying goodbye.
And yet another wagon! an 04 in black - very nice.
I had not planned to go onto the nags head because it was my brothers wedding on sat and i was still a little brittle from that (not a good idea to drive a fast car when you are not concentrating 100%)
Will defo be up for the next one - be it japfest.
Skoosh please let me know the deal with the bumper spats if you dont want em.
Hope you get your car sorted si and that it hasnt cooked its self - sounds like you noticed it straight away and prevented any damage.
Cheers
Andy

Was good to see you guys, as a first 'proper' meet it went well. That is for everyone except Si, just as well you didn't drive it home, it just ain't worth the risk! What a ****ter, hope all is well.
Paul and I baled early but found a country route back to Newport that was just choice, loads of really fast sweeping B-roads with next to no traffic, just brilliant.
Heavyweight Blackwagon is already covered in ****e, and so has returned to stealth status, but Prodrive performance pack is already on order, not having these pesky classics leaving me behind for much longer.
Japfest rocks, will make every effort to attend.

See you at Japfest!
Hopefully I'll have got my ARB's sorted out by then so I'll have less understeer! Was taking it easy on cornering on Sunday as it's not 100%, going in a straight line though was a different matter!

Was a bloody good run.........the pics speak 4 themselves.
Not heard about me car yet, dropped it at Ian's garage in M/Drayton last night
went over there first thing this morning to discuss with Ian, I think it's thermostat, he's wondering about headgasket(?).....WORRIED........!
Will hopefully know more tomorrow..........I'm working on the no news is good news theory at present although I doubt it's serious.
Dave, a few puffs of black smoke yesterday when you booted it mate
Borrowed Rachels car today, filled it up and washed it and then some barsteward drove into it, nice big red scrape down offside from his Alfa 166, NOT MY FAULT AT ALL...........!
They say things happen in 3's:
1) Car loses all coolant and gets low-loaded away.
2) Salt cellar top came off last night, all over me feckin tea...............!
3) Small accident today.
Tomorrow should get a call sayingthat car's ready and suddenly, mysteriously developed 450BHP..........not that I need it eh Lee?
C u at next meet lads.
Si.
ps: I'll keep you informed about car.

Skoosh, I hope it is the thermostat thats gone nothing else, we were saying that from the start,
I had a word with Mcscooby at work and he was meant to get in touch with you, sorry it took so long,
Speedy dave, alright matey, yes I was the owner of the white uk spec sti wannabe!!!!onder2: Nice splitter mate, would have got one before but never seen one on a classic before, will be getting one now, its not too much and looks the part, plus I think Gareth has some paint left over from when he did my skirts,
Anyone wanting tickets for JAPFEST and want to park in the SIDC enclosure away from normal members of publics cars! go onto SIDC. I e-mailed them and they have got a load more in their online shop now...limited numbers though
Nice meeting you all and putting a face to your names!
Jim

Sorry I didn't make it chaps, but as I explained to Simon, some little scallies mugged me in the girlfriends house in Manc on Sat night, so I had to hang around to sort a few things and make sure she was ok (just put claim in today and it came to just under £1,700!!!! ...£70 cash, £300 for digi camera, and my £1,300 Tag watch... little scroates!!). Still, everything ok, and now I get to chose a nice new watch.
At least they didn't get the car! They were asking for the keys, but I was confident that they were not sure, and they left after they couldn't find them!
What is all of this talk of needing a Prodrive pack to keep up with a classic?! ....I might even keep mine for a bit and see how fast I can get it to go! if it goes like that with 221bhp, imagine what it will be like with 260bhp!!!
....and I am willing to take any extra ballast to make it fair on the others!!
Hope the car is ok Si. As I said, you should be fine if there was still water coming out when you stopped.

SHE'S BACK..............
As above, the ice-cream T5 is back on the road again.
It turned out to be the internal thermostat seal had split hence the thermo could not open or close........blah blah blah...
Ian at Talbot Garage has yet again outdone himself by sorting me out and fitting a blue-print thermostat and spending most of the day topping up system after draining overnight.......the price I will not divulge, BUT, it was less than an hours labout at Subaru main dealer, supply and fit......!!!
Cheers for the calls and texts and pm's you lot and I'll see you soon. BTW, yes, I will check the water regularly over the next few days.
Speedy, I'm not an SIDC member.
Si.
ps: I 've got some spare 99's left over from Sunday

Tickets are £9 for members and £10 for non-members per person which includes a free car pass (ONE per order).
Glad to hear your car is back on the road again, look forward to the next 'cruise'
