speedydaveb 24 March 2005 10:24 PM

Why do you keep on starting new threads!?
What was up with the original one!!?? :)
You're just confusing people doing this!

I have put a link to this one from the 'old' thread! :lol1:

Meeting at the shirehorse sounds good, or we could meet at the layby at M6 J13 if you are going that way?

Good to hear you will have the Eibach's on soon. I have been hiting mine on speed cushions this week when carrying passengers, tho that could be as I put my catted centre section back on in the wrong position for the MOT last week!

I think they might have tried delivering my KYB AGX's today, hopefully they will be on and I will be all laser aligned by this meet!

assti 24 March 2005 11:07 PM

I'll have to give this one a miss. I'm working on the saturday and the sunday until 2. Hope you have a good run out though.

:brickwall Hi guy's , have to put me down for a maybe on this one . I have got something on in the morning , not sure if i'll have a motor to attend in . Hopefully mine will be sold ,not found anything that live's up to my expectation's. Getting sick off driving up and down the country looking at complete pig's especially when the owner's asure you there absolutely mint. Not sure if it's me being to fussy or there blind !. Didn't even get out of the car at one, one drive by was enough. Even started looking at WAGON'S lol.
I'll keep my eye on the thread and let u know nearer the date.

Uncle :thumb:

skoosh 27 March 2005 06:21 PM

Shaun, how dare you dis the wagon..............;)

How was the holiday mate?

You could've bought Oat's wagon as he's now got a X-Type sport and very nice it is too............far too classy for him though;)

Seeing as we are about to rename ourselves the Stoke Scooby Wagon Crew, it would be quite appropriate if you did get a wagon.

I'm sure there is an STi7 wagon on here for sale.........wish I couls afford one, oh well, one day, I'll have to make do with the Mr.Softy white wagon for now.

Hope to c u soon.

Si.

ps: Yes, your expectations are too high, but quite rightly so.

Nev_B 27 March 2005 06:51 PM

Hi guys, sorry it's been so long but have been burying my head in work, home and RALLYING.

It seems more of the latter than anything else. I am now officially a marshal and a co-driver, and love every minute of it.

My weekends seem to be taken up with one of the above 3 all the time, and so it is on this date too. I will be in Leicestershire checking out next years competition for the 205 Challenge. So sorry guys, you won't be seeing much of me anymore.

I will still be posting on here tho, and will try and keep up to date on your goings on.
My passion for the Scoob is as strong as ever, and you never know, one day the call from Subaru WRT may come and I will be sat next to Petter!! (Yes I know I am dreaming, but aim high is my motto. Phils seat is safe for a while yet!)

All the best

Nev

Little Jim 31 March 2005 03:11 PM

Just waiting for a reply off Martin who has been on a scout round for a suitable location,Will make it easy for you to find

Will update soon

Jim

speedydaveb 31 March 2005 05:26 PM

My missus' has suggested the Euston Way in Telford which is a Brewers Fayre pub, which is near to Telford train station, on the A442.

There is a map to it here

Any good?

Jolley 31 March 2005 11:34 PM

Should make this one. Just put some new pads on (4th set I think), and new tyres (Toyo T1-R's) should be arriving tomorrow (again, the 4th set!!), so car should be raring to go.

All going to plan, I will be in Manchester Sat evening, so will be coming down from there.

I've been for a scout round for somewhere a little more rural. If I can remember correctly, the Euston Way is on the opposite side of the car park to the station, and they are the only 2 things on that exit of a roundabout.

I'll be popping round the 5 or 6 pubs that are on my shortlist on Sunday to see how busy they are at the time of day you'll be over.

Martin.

skoosh 01 April 2005 04:54 PM

Cheers martin, keep us in the frame.

I must say that I'm a little dissappointed once again in the response to this especially as I see sooooooooooo many scoobs in and around stoke area.

Never mind.

Sk.

Hats off to Dave for PM'ing to drum up trade ....

Don't think I'll make this, as

a) I'm going to Spain tomorrow for a week
b) I'm fairly sure that Graham (911) has his first hill climb (though it is in Shropshire !) in the new car on the 10th, so if I'm back and fit, I'll probably be going along to that....

BUT - you never know, I might turn up just after you've left, like last time ;)

Have a good 'un anyhow,

Mark

speedydaveb 01 April 2005 11:36 PM

Interested in knowing where this hill climb is, might be worth a nose!
911 sounds like he knows his stuff and would be good to meet up with him, where is this hill climb?

Nev_B 03 April 2005 02:21 PM

That would be Loton Park, within 10 miles from Shrewsbury. Not a bad day out if you get the right cars running.

Nev

MDBinaWagon 03 April 2005 03:58 PM

Jim and I have been for a drive to check the pubs on our shortlist, and have come up with a clear favourite. I'm going to have another run out there tomorrow just to check they're open all day (we turned up at the next one at 3, just as they were closing).

Martin.

BlackwagonTR 03 April 2005 04:48 PM

Should be well up for this. Spending Saturday in Clocaenog Forest watching the Astra-Stages rally with some mates, so a scooby meet on Sunday will round the weekend off nicely! I'll be there in my '04 wagon, and a mate in his '99 classic.

See ya

skoosh 03 April 2005 05:53 PM

I was beginning to think it would be just the wagon crew AGAIN, good to see a few new faces and names down.

Meeting times and venue to be arranged, although it's likely to be Shirehorse pub, stafford, A34.

Si.

do u reckon we'll get 10 names?

If you count Oat (who I hope is coming as I'm buying a front splitter off him!) we already have 10 names! :D
(or are you counting cars rather than people?)

Finished off fitting the KYB AGX's today and have fitted my Whiteline ALK. Just need to get the 4-wheel alignment done or the handling could be a bit funny!

Where did you get yours done and how much?
Did TSL re-adjust it for you FOC?

skoosh 03 April 2005 10:11 PM

Dave, not had geometry re-set yet, gonna let eibachs "settle" first.

Subaru quoted me a better price of eightyodd quid.

si.

McScooby 04 April 2005 01:58 PM

Si, I'm workin mate....sorry

MDBinaWagon 04 April 2005 03:12 PM

And the winner is...

Right, I've been out to check, and the pub Jim and I liked is open from midday to 10.30.
It is the Nag's Head on the A488 about 5 miles from the A5 Shrewsbury by-pass. It's on the right just as you go from Pontesford into Pontesbury, heading away from Shrewsbury.

I'm going to head over there for about 1.15 on Sunday, see you there :).

Martin.
