Sure. I did the original one with the pace car in 9:04 point something or other. Got a nice silver license but no idea how the hell you get a gold one!! lol.

I like the spec c option though, it's just a nice car!!

Right, on the Spec C just the racing exhaust takes it to 359bhp, so thats engine mods done - i'm assuming there are no other mods allowed such as tyres, suspension etc for this challenge.

I did a perfect lap at the weekend and could only get 8:00, so those getting 7:10 etc must have tweaked suspension.

 

Hi mate, my car is modded like you say with the racing exhaust to give 359. I've then modded the suspension and brakes, and tweaked the settings to let the car drive how I like it.

I think the rules are that you can mod the car however you want, but not have more power than 361 and no nitros. Still looking to get sub 7:30 with that car.

Theres also an open class race going on, any car, any mod. I set a 6:48 last night in the impreza touring car, looking to start tweaking that tonight and get that down to sub 6:40

Already got a fair few mods on my Spec C:

sports exhaust
racing soft tyres
racing brakes
brake controller
racing suspension
fully customisable transmission
triple plate clutch
racing flywheel
carbon prop shaft
fully customisable LSD
variable centre differential controller
turned all driving aids off.

So only power mod is sports exhaust.

When going onto the settings page, in the top right of the screen it says 360bhp bang on, by the little graph.

Yet when I look at my replay, it says 338bhp.

Then I went back to 'my garage' and it says 360bhp there...

Can anybody point out which figure we're going by?

 

Nah, thats cheating, we should do it with just the exhaust upgrade alone.

I should be able to get around 7:00 with suspension/tyre mods

 

Qualifying tyres I think will put it to sub seven minutes. However, it becomes a one-shot affair then as by the end of that lap the tyres will be dead!!

I'm now down to a 7:10.188 with the soft ones on, but god knows if i am ever going to improve that time! I am still mainly trying to complete the game!!

 

can we have some proper rules layed out so we are all trying the same thing??

Mode run in :Arcade or GT Free run or time trail or ....
Mods are allowed what isn't: tires, nitrous, lightening,suspension???

Yep no problem...

OK at first i did the times in Arcade mode as i hadn't got a spec c, now i think everyones got to the GT mode and is doing the same as me i.e. in World Cct's and FREE RUN!

So car wise!

1. Spec-C
2. MAX 360 BHP give or take 10 BHP "its difficult to get bang on 360" read by whats reported in your garage!
   
3. ANY other mods! e.g. light-weight, tyres, brakes, shocks, settings, gears; Anything to improve your car (BUT NO NOS!)
   
4. No grass cutting action... or short cuts if there are any!
   

And thats it... now we should be getting down to some fairly top times...!

It would be interesting to pitch that then against a EVO MR with the same limits... 360



Still not bettred 7:12 Mmmmmm not some sticky tyres!

Well after a few runs tweaking the settings...my 356bhp spec c has now lapped the ring in


7:08.765






with more tweaking to come, my time will only go down

oh...and im still only on medium slicks

 

anyone care to share their setup? i am running around 7.20 with the standard setup.

would like to lower my times, but not sure about the technical aspects of changing the suspension, braking balance etc.
