Wez ..sorry only just seen this post...i know exactly what it is but its hard to describe how to fix

Its simply that your Start Bar is 2 bars High and the second part is hidden...so when you minimize your programs shrink to the hidden bar....you have to unlock task bar then try and drag it about until you get rid of it....

been a while since i done it so cant remember exactly how i did it..

Yeah if I'd noticed it the first time round, it could have saved you all this anguish
