For someone with better things to do, you seem to be replying pretty regular!

You really haven't anything better to do have you?

Oh yes, the link doesn't work .... ask mummy to give you a hand!

i am living with my mum after just moving back from a house share with mates. saving up for a place.

mums going to live in Oz soon, so i'm gonna have to be independant.

If you judge someone by which jobs they have and how much they earn, then you've confirmed your exactly the sort of person i thought you were.

Used to work in McDonalds BTW. Loved it!

you sound like a bitter old man, someone whose been fairly succesful (which could be boll0x for all we know) but deep down isnt particualy happy.

i dont earn £85 an hour, but i have a hell of alot of friends who would help me out whenever i needed them as i would them.

but what i want to know is, are those Stenna Stairlifts really as good as they say??

A lot of people have to. There are 22 people in my team and only about five are paid more than the £35000 you quote, and more than half are on less than that £23000. My basic salary is less than £30k - only the massive amounts of overtime allowed me to buy the scoob. And my job is considered pretty well paid - take a look at salaries of jobs in your local paper (if anyone actually quotes them now). Please take a visit to the real world now and again.

while pete is *clearly* having mucho fun winding people up (and he's frickin hilarious at it), i live in cambs like you, and i seriously have no idea how people are surviving with any kind of quality of life in this area on less than 23k. i make several times that and still struggle as house prices are thru the roof here, and it's a high rent area.

and i *still* haven't paid off my student loans

granted a chunk of my money goes to charity (good karma), i save a lot, and a heap goes on bodybuilding products, but still.

these people on sub-23k in cambs must be sharing houses with several others and not saving any money whatsoever surely?

while what pete's saying *isn't* true for most people, he's probably not far wrong for the average salary of people on this board.

I think when Pete refers to an average wage of £35k, he's talking about on his own planet, not this one
