I haven't worked for a year, also one of my mates has packed his job in to join me. He has been on two months and made more money that he would have done at work. I trained him, supplied the software and away he went.

I usually have 3 to 4 winners every day. I only had two today which was quite poor.

Tips for tomorrow. Well to start with I would get on Historic Place at Corals and William Hill at 28/1. This horse should be gambled on. Not saying it will win but if you can get on each way at a bookie that pays 5 places then you might do okay. Another horse to bear in mind is Mirjan, again e/w.
Both run in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket 14:45 on Sat.

And you will easily be able to trade these horses on the betting exchanges.

No I am selling anything, Pete.

Some people do pay hundreds a year to get tips/software etc but no I am not like that. I gave out a tip for yesterday that I thought would run very well. It got gambled on and ran a good race. The fact that it finished 1st was a nice way to earn a bit extra money.

The two horses I mentioned last night should both be gambled on and although the size of the field is 36, I am hoping that both of them finish in the frame, ie top 5. If you study horseracing, the big race today is a very difficult one to predict but I am quite happy to put my neck on the line and state what I think are good bets.

And I am happy to send you details of all the bets I have had this year, along with bank statements to prove what I have made.

But if you don't believe me, that is up to you.

SB, what do you with the winnings? Do you gamble them, or return the profits?

Sounds like a little more fun than just bunging a quid in a lottery syndicate (which I don't do anyway!) but I don't think there would be enough people at work interested.

Well, I'm going to leave my job and earn a fortune just by putting money on the gees gees .............. I'm an old fella and I have seen many a career in horse betting go right down the toilet.

Don't you think EVERYONE would be doing it?

Don't you think the bookies are aware of every risk out there?

Good luck anyway with your delusion, long may it last in the real world!

Pete,

Take a look on:

www.betfair.com

Have a look at the races at Newmarket today, take a look at the graphs by clicking on the horses name.

See how much has been traded.

So all you have to do is to know your stuff, back high, lay off lower, job done.

Look at Mirjan, I have had a few hundred at 21, it is now laying at 17.5.
Also Historic Place, I have £200 on at 29, laying at 25.

Don't say I didn't tell you last night about these horses.

I can pull in a nice profit already. It is just like trading shares.

Take a look and then try and quantify what you said above.

I am in the real world and the money is out there to be made!!!

Well, for someone to win - someone loses ..... how can you live with yourself taking money of gambling mugs?

Good luck mate - I just know if I tried I would get fried!

Just a thought? By you recommending the horses here are you not affecting the price and then clean up? Clever!

Yes...it's almost like spread betting in that you can buy & sell at any point before a race - presumably you can go either way as well - ie, "short" the favourite, and cash in as it moves away from being the favourite.....

The beauty of this kind of betting over traditional betting is that, as I said above, you can come out of the position at any time before the race if you so desire. ie, cash in your small gain without waiting for the final outcome.

Indeed, but the same as any traditional share tips.....remember the Daily Mirror journos who got done for it. Recommending shares they owned, tipped them, then cashed in as everyone piled in.

Everyone's doing it - so it's naive to not take advantage. Pity the poor mugs who don't understand "the game" though

OK, having had a look at the BetFair site, it seems "laying" is equivalent to "shorting" in the financial markets.

Those horses were for trading on betfair as mentioned earlier.
I made a canny bit from them as they were nicely gambled on.

It is all about long term profits.

Mirjan was 7th out of 36. Top 5 paid out so just missed out on some extra money.

Historic Place was 15th out of 36 but some good money made from a 28/1 down to 22/1
