Sounds very reasonable to me - in fact, I'd go so far as to suggest that rather than driving everywhere in convoy, we instead agree on meeting places and each make our own way there. Of course, if we happen to stick together then that's great - but I know I won't have much fun if I'm always thinking "we'll get nicked for this", while I know others will probably have their holidays spoiled if they're always stuck behind me.

When we get to the 'ring then it's playtime, I'm dying to find out what the 2005 JDM-spec engine coupled with the Type 25 suspension kit can do, but until then I'd rather enjoy the scenery. Hope that's OK with everybody.

Terry: plan looks good, will read through it properly in detail during the week.

I think when it gets a bit nearer to September, the french contingent will have a message posted on one of their BBS's to alert them. If a post goe sup now, it'll be way too early. They, like you folks in the UK, have a lot of outings...in fact we're having a small one next weekend for some handicapped kids in Albertville. Weather permitting !

Coming back a day early won't be a problem - save a day's worth of hotel bills and the ferry can be organised - although I don't know what time it would be sailing, etc.

Excellent mate - me too.

The Eurohoon (from Pistonheads/ Gassing Station) tour will take them to the Nurburgring at the same time we are there - so another good meet with a bunch of petrolheads....

I'm still searching for a co-driver at the mo terry. I've asked the lad who services my car, but doubt he'll come, and also my dad (father son bonding holiday ) but he's not sure either
Still coming though even if I don't get anyone to share the petrol

I'm still waiting for missyc to find out if she is working or not

There are other options if she isn't coming. Trying to get HarryMattson to come along (with or without his GT4)

Can't wait for all those corners

pack it in terry, your only making the wait that much harder
Got confirmation of my weeks holiday in september today, + the following monday

Do you think if I take my mountainbike on the roof, I'll be able to ride down one of those paths on the left? Just as long as someone gives me a lift back up

In September? Nah, you won't need them - the weather here on the continent is considerably warmer than in the UK. They say that a good summer follows a hard winter - if that holds out we should be in for a real heatwave (and a rather balmy indian summer I hope) as the winter we've just had has been a rough one!

si, I'll pay half your fare as long as those kids don't sleep in the room next to mine

on a serious note, do you really think it'd be a good idea to bring them along, I was thinking of bringing my 8 and 9 year old, but decided against it. Not sure they'd really like to be sat in the car for that long a journey.
chris.
