Neil,

Iain did say that they sent the car out for Autocar with road going geometry. Only thing Iain can change at the track is bump/rebound rates, not any of the geometry.

Cheers

I did adjust the suspension on the day, it's only a 30sec job Mike and I had a good chat about this the other day, There are basically 2 settings; our prefered road setup and our harder tracksetup. I think Autocar just wanted to highlight what they preceived as a novelty item. The Type 25's suspension was changed once in the morning and again the next day to return it back to normal.
Last year Autocar only used the circuit to test the cars and as this year showed its the on road performance that should count most of all.

Ian,

Congrads on the Autocar placing! Question: Have you as yet sampled the Japanese 05' sti? If so, do any of its new modifications excite you as per their inclusion into next years type25- geometry changes, wider track/tires-235, different steering rack etc? thanks, JL

i agree with john felstead re wr1 having driven 1 but being a heavy late braker i have modified my brakes!the wr1 is faster than a sti ppp as it should be and the remap makes it much smoother to drive and goes to the redline unlike some sti ppp that run out of puff at 6000rpm.
i have modified my car where i feel it is better than a wr1 IMHO but the wr1 is the best official subaru at the moment, the t25 is obviously the best unofficial with various ecutek cars in the middle
if only i could afford a t25,p1,22b,wr1 etc to compare day to day lol

Ian, Can a quicker road s. rack be fitted to a UK 03 STi - if so what is the comparative spec and price to fit?

Demostrator is here now I don't think it will make that much difference to the Type 25 as it is but our Type 20 is significantly improved

I'm not really sure on the MY03 steering rack, think David at API might be able to source/help with that.
