Ahh Redkop, was it utter dumbness or utter stupidity/bravado? Lacking spacial awareness versus "I'd rather die than be late?"

Yeah and the old saying that goes with this is that they are usually driving on their hussband's / partners insurance !!
They have probably had lots of no faults ie pulling out without looking from junctions etc.

Have to agree with Redkop, its not all females, plenty of bad middle aged (Well all ages) who very clearly needs some form of driver re education.
Driving standards test every 5 years - me thinks

forgot to add the good replay to have lived here XX years and seen lots of accidents here ! Well you would think that you would be more carefull then !

Had a near-miss once when driving down a stretch of road nr Lincoln (A15) which is notorious for accidents, anyway, it was about midnight & had been raining alot that night as I came round a sharpish blind corner about 60mph to find some old twot in a Jag stationary in the middle of both lanes half way through a three point turn as it was night so I was keeping an eye out for headlights & such but due to the fact his car was facing the hedge his lights were absorbed by the bushes so you can imagine my utter panic and all I could think was AIRBAGS!!!!!!! well I swerved around him, fish tailing all over the place and somehow managed to avoid a heavy impact... which would've been very nasty indeed.

But you could imagine the heading in the local rag "Subaru collides with Jaguar.... last night a high powered Subaru failed to see a stationary car which resulted in a high speed collision"

I suppose you should always expect the unexpected, but you should always expect people to do the stupidest things! pull out on you, break for no reason, loose control, drive off the road, three point turn on a blind corner at night etc...

Ever since that time I ALWAYS allow for idiots (especially old idiots in Jags! ).

and if you had hit him it would of being your fault and he would to this day blame you 100% for the accident and these type of people are never made to think about the consequences of their actions, hence why should be more police on the road to educate drivers like this and not policing by speed (sorry cash) camera's. Coupled with compulsary driver re education every 5 years or so and if you dont meet a required standard have to take the test again

Sorry Liam, You're at fault as you should be able to safely stop on your side of the road within the distance you can see

Was utter dumbness and utter stupidy, clearly unable to comprehend that cars have accelerators as well as brakes and third and fourth gears and probably a fifth!!

First - it's not exclusively a woman thing.... and no I'm not a woman.....

Second - here's how the logic goes :
If I don't look, I won't be able to see anything coming. If I can't see anything coming, there isn't anything coming. If there isn't anything coming it must be safe to pull out...... Off we go...... WTF is that screeching sound Hmmm I often wondered what an airbag tasted like

I have often thought that a couple of blue flashing lights and an LED display that says police in the back window might be hilarious fun witht he tailgating brigade. I know that blue lights are illegal (except washer jets of course ) and suspect that signs saying police are too. Anyone know how illegal a sign saying po1ice would be???? Does this sill count as impersonating a police officer?????? Just a thought.
