errrrrrrmmmmm, stef.

I have always tried to be honest and practical when it comes to compairing car performance and my own abilities.

Untill you have driven something as potent as my little beastie you wont apreciate quite how much more your inputs to the cars controlls affect its behaviour.

Theres none of this keep it planted through the corner as grip is higher than power. You have to control the throttle all the way through the corner, if you just plant it, which is **** easy in a scoob, you will go off backwards rather quickly.

I am way past compairing my westie with scoob's now, its just not a fair comparison, i am now trying to match the times the esprit race car can achieve without pushing too hard too quickly and killing myself.

With slicks fitted i will be sub 1min 20's at donno, no question about it. My aim is to get to a 1min 18 which is a very fast time for a road legal car. Any quicker than that will be asking too much of me i think, i aint that good.

I did manage to take craner flat last time there, doesn't sound too much of a challenge in a scoob, but in something that accelerates like mine its bloody scary keeping the boot in all the way down the hill. I was hitting 140MPH on the back straight, remember this is on road legal tyres. with slicks fitted i should see at least 150MPH on the back straight.

So sorry stef, your no longer my target mate, i am way past that now. I am going after the proper race car times now and believe me, every second you try and chip away gets harder to achieve.

Moray.
I believe the AP may have something to do with it, it has performed faultlessly.
The car definitely takes-off better since fitting it.

John.
I wasn't actually referring to me personally, more to all your challenges to Scoobs and Cossies on the RS board.
It would appear you are now raising your sights a little at some 'fair' comparisons, which is very good news.

stef, the challenges etc. are just a giggle mate, as i am sure you are awair!

I really dont care what else is on track, i just want to improve my times every time i go out.

The most important thing though is to have fun, too many people just dont get to have fun playing with a bonkers car that has no real function other than to scare you to death.

Sadly, at the moment my car isn't quick enough to scare me to death so i may need to up the power again, 420BHP should do it i think.

It does tend to frighten the odd passenger though, which i can understand completely.

It should be compulsory that at least once in your life you have the oportunity to drive a car with vastly more power than grip. It's just such a giggle, especially when you have a passenger on board who thinks they drive a quick car.

right, thats it.

I am bringing the esprit out to give you all a bloody big fright.

The drag from the rear end is enough to suck your front wheels off the ground (i am not kidding, did it to a tuscan at 150MPH at cadwell once)

Now then, am i serious or not??? we shall see LOL

So John when you going frighten me to death!!
I don't scare too easy, Speedsailing on a 4kg 13" wide speed board at West Kirby at 45mph 2ft from the tarmac wall is SCARY. or hooning out to sea at 30mph with a 15ft vertical wall of liquid heading towards you at 20,good job I don't suffer from vertigo! However I am sure you'll give it your best, as you do!

H
