At last my scoobys coming home, she been sitting in a clutch centre for 10 days now waiting for the go ahead from the third party warranty and then the parts to arrive, but I just got the call and I can go and collect tonight and give back that horrible 1.4 escort back....it feels like the day I was going to buy my first scoob..

Here's hoping they fitted a complete OE unit, not a relined plate and rebuilt cover which is what a lot of these so-called "clutch clinics" do. Also did they fit a new release bearing. It is unlikely unless you are contributing to the cost of some of the parts.

There is a high turnover in remanufacturing clutch units and they are pretty shoddy items, sometimes given a clean lick of Hammerite spray paint for good measure.

The clutch kit they got was purchased from scoobysport and was the helix kit they recommended so as far as I know Im getting all the components replaced....

well shes back and running well the helix clutch bites like an angry tiger, I shall be givingt her a proper run tommorrow.
