Morning all, Thought I'd field an idea about July's meet. As suggested before, a Dales run seems a popular idea. Nothing too extreme as there will be fooding and drinking and talking to be done. I thought we might meet in the large layby at the end of the Burley-in-Wharfedale bypass (usually a burger van there) just before the measured mile into Ilkley. Then over Middleton to Beamsley and along Dazza's (and mine ) favorite road to Burnsall. We can then either stop at the pub, or carry on for a while before returning to the Red Lion for refreshments. A run through to Grassington, out towards Pately Bridge and back down to the A59 from Glenhow Spring (021+ possible (typo ) allowing a 2nd run through to Burnsall where we can take the back road. Any other ideas, suggestions or whatever
What d'ya get then Gary ?

I need to resurrect interest in the Rallydrive track day in september, as I will need to pay the deposit by the end of July. I'll try and catch everyone at the Bridge but if circumstances have changed can you let me know. I'll be opening it up to SNET after the next meet.

Evening chaps , what an excellent day yesterday.
spoilt it by going into theme park and queueing an hour per ride!
Nice to see a WYIOC car up for nominations
Dave got me a set of mint Prodrive oz p1 wheels
and yes Simon in GOLD.
funny thing is i just bought two from EBAY two days earlier, so thinking of making a trailer.
Apple and Mick
will post on WYIOC Steve Kemps details
for paintwork
and dent repair company
under technical

Dave, you know I'll be up for a run up there. Unofficial camera car duties look like being on again.
Just dumping yesterday's footage onto the HD. Any suggestions for music tracks to use during the editing?
Dave suggested 'Teenage kicks' by the Undertones (showing yer age mate )
I'm thinking 'Smells like teen spirit' by Nirvana, and for shots of Dazza's car I was gonna use 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'

BTW.. I noticed that the TTS , LADS...etc had their own little space at the ~NBO2 with a banner saying who they were.
Maybe we could have our own next year ??????

And for anything other than an M3 or M5, I could never be a Beemer Boy.
No, I have truly been introduced this evening to the real dark side. A side so dark that it could only be fashioned from the rarest of elements.... An influence so demonic that it is the only marque worthy of the Crest of Zuffenhausen.
I think you know where I'm coming from.... Or going to....

Look, I know I'm a bit slow....
Just Google'd Zuffenwatsit, and after about 20 threads on trams (I'm assuming it's not one of those) I finally stumbled across a porker. So, you're going for a Hitler inspired car with the engine hanging out behind the rear wheels. Nice.
If it's a GT3 and you let me have a go I'll forgive you. This time.
The WYIOC is soon gonna become the WYI&E&POC
Maybe 'West Yorkshire Performance Car Owners Club' may be the way to go, before you and me get hoofed for non-conformist attitudes
What about a Noble? Me and thee could be the founder (and only?) members of the WYNOC. Very exclusive! We could meet and compare repair bills for the previous month. Swap notes on the Mondeo engine. Keep track of how many roads with speed humps we can't use 'cos the bl00dy thing's too low.
(BTW, Guinness inspired tryping. Bought a crate last night and trying to polish it off today *hic*)

Phil, noticed that too. Would have been nice to have stuck some flyers under some wipers, as many did.
Maybe for next year we could get in touch with Lordharding and arrange our own little bit. Pasting table, banner, cars, etc. Then get the women to do the work while we all bugger off on the rides

911? Nah. Metro? Not really..... Been hooning around in a 'friends' Cayenne V8. 5 secs of low ratio and we'd be straight over that glassfibre bonnet

I could live with the performance and practicality, but would need peril sensitive sunglasses for looking at it. Not pretty IMHO (But what do I know )
Twould need 24" spinners and pimp tints to really look the part
