I suppose in the controlled environment of a gym (If by gym you mean where you train in your kick boxing or whatever) then I imagine a good ‘ruck’ could be seen as quite liberating by some, although I’m sure controlled and channelled aggression would be much more in keeping with the ethos of most worthwhile contact sports.

Unfortunately the few Scots I know who still feel the need to wander the pubs, streets and stadiums of this fine land, well they rarely feel satisfied with just giving people flat noses, or even cauliflower ears for that matter, nor of attending gyms to learn their craft. Strangely though I have moved on from the prospect of such frivolity. Perhaps it was the eight years I spent in IPTC's, who knows
