There are some seriously impressive distances to a tank on this thread

I know it comes up quite often but it seems that everytime the miles per tank figures are generally increasing.

crikey 8mpg!!??

I've only had my car for 2 fillups, but in those i did 27mpg then 25 as i learnt to enjoy her more... Thats still 300+ miles on each one ( At OUCH 47 quids worth of optimax .. )

Does aircon make any difference? I used to think it caused a big drop in fuel consumption, surely not these days? You can notice the performance tailing off when it's on tho - not when nailing it - but simply pulling off normally

Dooh, also should have said it's a 2000 WRX...

Trust me when i worked the figures out there were tears in my eyes, (not to mention the thunderous look i was getting from my wife) so i worked them out again (this time adding a considerable amount more onto the figures to make them look better) then my wife kindly pointed out my mistake and that 8 mpg was correct......... needless to say pork chop wasnt on the menu that nite!!!!

i would guess i average 15-20 mpg

but if the wife asks 25ish
