I know mate, The hosts are going through some upgrades ( http://www.1asphost.com/ ) and I'm supposed to have unlimited bandwith with them. I've sent them an email asking whats going on. I expect its to do with their upgrades, hopefully should be running again soon, I hope so anyway as I spent 4 hours this morning writing & editing some new code for the BBS.

As far as I know it went off at about 11 am ,so if it is a 24 hr thing then..well you know.

If I dont get a reply by tonight I'll resend the email.

At the moment I cant even login to the site to see the files, it says invalid name or password

Phil

I'd signed up to the original wyioc site (Apple23) but was letting the dust settle on versions 2 to whatever

Suppose I hadn't been keeping up with things enough...

I have an image to keep up, so I've just rinsed off the "Dales salt" (snowed like hell up there yesterday) after our little jaunt. Had to when doing 60mph, twice, and at the same time just 1 mile before passing a speed trap at the top of the A59 And I also found out that ABS gets when the car leaves the ground whilst braking hard into a corner Can I fit a switch to get rid of the silicon granny?

BTW, Chris. Last year you asked where I'd got my LOTR Two Towers DVD so early. I've now got Return of the King. Fantastic dual layer, DTS & DD, animated menus and completely unedited, unlike those cruddy copies sold in pubs. Approx £8 delivered from here . Will do me until the 4 disc extended comes out

phil a.k.a. madgrip - excellent you've started a thread on 'wyioc' - need to get these members listed for the convoy to the NBO before we move onto other yorkshire groups!

Dave, can your bring your LOTR 3 along for me to 'evaluate'? have you got 'Revolutions' too?

I'm waiting to add the 4 box set to the first two films, but I woul love to see the film now. Then watch the extended version later.

Cheers m8

I'll give them another week to sort out their upgrade & if things are the same after that ,then I'll be looking for another hosting place I think.

Al, sure I'll bring it along as I'll have my lappy with me so anyone who's interested can watch my mpegs from the FunDay. I aren't bothering with the Matrix 'til they release a trilogy box set, as I was disappointed with both the sequels. For a snide though, you really cannot argue with the quality. Minor resolution quibbles, and a little jitter on some effects panning (Minus Tirith) but the big bonus of DTS, which isn't even on the official theatrical release.

Phil, are you sure you need to meet at the Showcase quite so early. I normally leave home at 6.40 for the Holmfield meet and I'm only 5 mins from there. Wouldn't 6.40pm be better?

the others are aiming to get there for 6:30. we only mentioned 6:15 so that they have a bit more time if they get stuck in rush hour traffic.

I cant see us leaving before 6:30 though.

Quick question - what are the roads like on the route from the Holmfield Arms to the Fenay Bridge?

With the weather brightening up and clear skies forecast for this afternoon/evening I'm contemplating which car to take but the thrapper doesn't like bumpy, twisty, potholed back roads so if there's too many I'd best leave it...

Ian.

The roads are good

There are some 30 / built up areas (at the start), but over 3/4's of the trip is a good section of clear roads with several good overtaking areas..

The final bit is through a built up area, but there's usually a big group of 'Corsa fanciers' standing at a bus stop who definately appreciate the sight of 10+ Scoobs rumbling through their patch.

Nice place for to impress the kids with your DV

Me sad?

I was pointing the DV out for anybody looking for a good place to Dump their valves

I, of course, am far too grown up and sensible to do something so childish and imature. If, I say, IF my DV went off just there, thien it was pure coincidence... OK?

Some would say the fact that you have a VTA DV is immature.

finish in 20 mins - will set off around 6.45pm! keep ears open for the typhoon (auto with blitz 5" sounds evil) - & oh yes - the turboXS dump valve...

know its too early BUT have u guys decided on aprils get-together - last you were all suggesting a 'curry' theme! maybe this is far out BUT in april why not go to the famous 'curry mile' which is wilmslow road in the rusholme district of manchester (i know it defeats the whole objective of being a yorkshire club) - believe me it is absolutely ram-packed silly and the the 1-mile stretch is plenty for the sub parade!!!

WHO SHOULD I BE LOOKING OUT FOR TONIGHT? DON'T WANT TO TURN UP & LOOK LOST!!!

[sarc mode]

We'll be the ones in the japanese saloon cars with 4wd and turbochargers. You can't miss us, all wings 'n stickers 'n loud noises.

[/sarc mode]

The pub is usually quiet, so you can't miss us.
Keep an eye out for Captain Dump Valve
