WHY?
set off at 6.30pm - got onto huddersfield rd... 10 minutes into journey & guess what... fk'in cops!!! see a 'nice' car done up BUT being driven by a young 'asian' in his mid-20s' in prada gear - for them alarm bells start ringing!
NOT only did they do the 'reg'/insurance check they actually fk'in searched the car - for what? stupid b'stards - when i showed them the ID that i was a full-time project manager as well as a fully qualified accident investigator (ironically working part-time for the west yorkshire police) - they shut up! same ****e i've heard b4 "lot of these cars are being used/owned by drug dealers so we HAVE TO stop and search every sub" - GUYS can you confirm if you lot have ever been stopped or am i missing something here???
SORRY GUYS - DEFINITLY 25/04/04...

Good to meet up with you guys last night.
Some VERY nice sights ( and sounds )
Many thanks to MadGrip for showing us the way and for Alan for making us feel welcome.
Looking forward to the next one and the lighter nights.
I know I asked about "other cars" but what about other bikes?
If you like loud Scoobies a V Twin bike with Carbon exhausts might just float your boat

Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Maddy, those wheels are Awesome.
Don't think Robert from Golden's missus was too impressed when they came out of the car park to find 20 Scoobies. She seemed to be muttering something along the lines of "Can't even go for a quiet meal without him taking his work with him!"
Re: Plod, we actually had one in attendance last night at Fenay I pleaded to be let off 19 speeding charges just on the way there & had to resort to the Bridge's finest Gammon & 1/2 a lager bribery.
Seriously tho, when I had a Sapphy Cos in 'Obvious' white I got stopped nearly every week. Swapped it for a discrete Black one & prob vanished!
I no longer go the main road route to Fenay, too many cash generators on that stretch!
CU all next time
Steve
PS Dave....DE TANGO.......when & where? (Courage is plucked!).

Prodjucer,
I drive through Bradford twice a week in my scoob and I have never been stopped by cops (says me tempting fate). Having said that I don't think I have seen any (07:30 in morning and 19:00 at night).
Is that why you have scoobynet username Prodjucer
Damian.

damian - exactly my point - you've never been stopped - i have (on many occassions) - so 'why' do you think i get stopped? [never had a fine - clean licence - never caught speeding/red traffic lights]
by the way its 'projucer' (without the d)

Steve, any thursday is ideal for me. CG at work, so I'm free all day. Yours or mine? Let's just hope the headlights don't end up "plucked"
Plod - I actually quite welcome the random stopping of Scoobs, if it means the thieving ******* steal something else. Then again, I haven't had the inconvenience of being stopped (yet ) in my 2 months of ownership.
Knobby, the bike is more than welcome. On the condition he doesn't spend all night telling everyone how bikes are faster, better, cheaper blah blah....Oh, and he can't come dressed as a Power Ranger either
Al, how many times have you watched it so far?
Chris, that was a spirited exit from the car park last night. Almost spirited into the other cars bum
BTW, it's Corraoboy

Projucer,
Have you got tinted windows?
I think if I was a coppa I would be stopping scoobs with tinted windows as it possibly suggests they have something to hide.
Another thought, how old do you look? I'm bald so look like I can afford a scoob lol!

LOL, How about Yours next Thursday (If OK E-mail me directions when you get a mo). Will have the new power by then so you can have a spin.
If all goes well we can offer our services to other owners under the guise of De-tango & cash!

Dave - so spirited that I had to lift off in 1st.... Back end getting perilously close to kerb, despite a good handful of oppo lock.....
GSD3s + greasy road + boost + steering wheel not straight = mucho oversteer.....

Steve, I had to wipe my HD a few weeks back, and I lost a lot of contacts. Send me an email so I can reply please.
What "new power" ??? Did I miss something last night
Weather looks like it will be nice, but have you noticed the date. Let's hope we're not being foolish.

do we continue to use this same thread for every monthly meet - or do we create a new one? if same - are we still going ahead with the 'curry' theme - if new thread - can someone start it?

We always start a new thread Projucer.
We're an orderly bunch, and generally allow our esteemed leader, Al Who Must Be Obeyed, to commence the fresh month's activities.
Unless you're proposing summat else (like a separate curry eve etc), in which case it's open season...
