Wasn't last, last time either..

although I was for half the day and had to go out and do another run to make sure I wasn't, lol.

I will probably only for 4 or 5 runs like last year though..

See ya there Simon!

With 100 Scoobies and 20 invited's ( ok, so 30 - 40 cars not confirmed / withdrawn so far ) how many runs will we each be able to get in do you reckon? Only open 10 am to 3 or 4 pm ... for "qualifying " runs.

Not done this before so I want a fair few goes to get the hang of it.. and an idea of performance numbers of the car!

where is that old results thread?!

It was a laff..

As to number of runs.. not sure I would guess there was only about 60cars there last year and probably 10bikes and you could have done as many runs as you wanted.

So probably get loads in even with 130cars.

Just go round and round.. I just did a couple of runs then let the car cool right down before going again.

Thumbs up almost there

got the headlights sorted this weekend (don't laugh, they were cheap + i can run a forced air feed through the main beam opening from time to time) and all associated wiring, all that's left to do is the grille & bonnet vents + scoop plus a few other minor things, i also need to come up with a way of painting the bonnet without it cracking when it flexes but i guess that won't stop it going back on the road, which i'm hoping will be in 2 weeks time oh, and numberplates might help

Default painting bonnet

Alright mate good to see you are nearly there,i have still not got mine through its sva cause i need a model report and no one makes one yet.Anyway i am a painter by trade and i reckon that using plastic primer over it before painting should be okay. This is used to allow the colour coding of plastic and rubber spoilers and bumpers,it allows the paint to flex.It is nearly like thinners and is just dusted on at the start of painting.Availible from the paint suppliers when buying your paint. Hope this helps

i've still got some from my motorbike i did, although i will need to use some high build filler or similiar to cover the poor finish, that's were i was a bit worried with the cracking because i would have to use quite alot in places

As long as you are not shy when coating it(you can never use to much)then it will not matter how much paint or primer you use mate

well yesterday i managed to get the windscreen washers up and running, i went for peugeot 405 style washers jets that fit to the wiper arms, really impressed on how they work, seems strange that not everyone does the same

only problem i've got now is that it keeps blowing the fuse for the lights & indicators

Absolutely supurb thread

Where did you get the light covers in the bumper? I've seen the other STI style, but I've never seen those 'smooth' ones.

Ah! Dark wheels on a white Scooby, the best combination!

Great thread on down to earth effort, 10/10 well done.

Tell me though, do you feel you have gained from the route of the Write-off repair compared to buying a 'straight' RA?

Glad you have done this as it's been a good read!

Wow, 6K! That is worth it. Satisfying too.
Trust we will get to see a huge picture gallery of the final product!
Dark wheels rule, enough on here to start our own club!
Good luck,
