didnt think about using bootlid spring sets then?

so the pins are just holding the bootlid to the runners then? and the boot works in the normal fashion?

schweet.
I got a lightweight bonnet coming and thinking of four pins to hold it down rather than the OE hinges and mechanism, which weigh a ton
But I shall be shamelessly copying your boot method if you dont mind?

i didn't see that much of a saving for the hinges on the bonnet offset against the impracticality of having to put the bonnet somewhere everytime i was under the hood

i might have to feed off his experiences soon if i choose to play around with it a bit i doubt it'll be the monster thread this was though

also might be interesting to have people's opinions on what best to do and see if we can carry across what we've learnt from Subarus and see if they're any common ground

how come everyone wants stuff that's staying on the car? TMIC might stay, might not yet, hanging in the balance

stuff like wheels, suspension, gearbox, ecu etc. are all going, not quite sure on the smaller items as of yet, they might be needed, who knows

off the top of my head there's the Rays wheels with the Pilot cups, the AP brakes (not sure i'd bother with them myself as i was never happy with them) Ohlins suspension, Apexi PowerFC, the gearbox that's in there with the DCCD centre, thinking of getting the old gearbox rebuilt with new syncros and a viscous centre (all 3.9 ratios), as new paddle clutch, don't think i'll sell the exhaust (i'll hang it in my garage as WRC memorabilia ) the downpipe can go, inlet manifold with throttle body, TMIC might go but without the fans, air filter & associated piping, turbo.....what have i missed?
