Shame you cant make it, but the wife (boss) must be obeyed

AFAIK we've got the whole day booked till about 5pm ish, so some of us could be there till then.

I'm sure there'll be other times when we can sort out another day somewhere

Cheers

Just seen calendar weather.
You may all need snow tyres not track wheels!

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry?

Dave, seeing that you got Gainsborough on your weather prediction, can you narrow it down to the right hand side and left hand sie of the track?

Snow on the first bend please with some sunny dry bits on the chicane and a damp patch on the large sweeping right hander and another dry patch out into the straight... that would be great, thanks awfully..

Sod it guys.. we'll have good day whatever the weather!!!

My BBQ'd Bratwurst will taste so much better after a cold snap...

Question

are we gonna agree on some track etiquette?

Like no overtaking on bends, only overtake on the left, move over to the right if a faster car is approaching from behind.

Damian.

Lads,

Would you be able to find a replacement for my slot on the fun day?

It's looking like my Subaru fun is about to come to a very sudden and abrupt end due to a massive change in financial situation...

Have fun (you lucky sods)

Kel

Kelvin, sorry to hear about the situation. Are you sure you can't manage one last blast? Go on, you know you want to I'll knock you off the list, but you are welcome back should you change your mind. Best wishes.

Cheers matey, i spent a few hours last night looking at the state of things and i just can't spare the cash (or risk anything happening to the Scooby - since it'll be in the Trader next week!). If it's cool i think i'll come along, join the convoy through and spectate for a few hours though

Default Routes for saturday

I thought I'd post these up here so everone knows where we're going.

From the convoy meeting point at J30 M62 we will head east to J35.
M18 south to J5.
M180 east to either J3 for the M181 into Scunny for Optimax,
0r J4 for the A15 south.

Those follwing the A15 route follow it south and turn right onto B1205 towards Blyton.

Those who require a fill up will head north on the M181 and then east on the A18 into Scunny, turning right onto the A159 where the garage should be. Then heading south on the A159 until turning left onto the B1205 and into Rallydrive.

Copy these to your HD and they should look OK zoomed up in an image application. Please print them out if you can, as my printer is goosed. So I probably won't be bringing copies (although Al might).

Take a show of hands on the day at the J30 meet, mate.

Most people will be turning up with differing levels in their tanks, so best to ask then...

Talking Weather Report

Latest weather report shows humidity falling by lunchtime so showers will diminish. Temperature rising by a degree or two but the wind increasing from 10 to 20mph by mid afternoon. I hope the gazebo will stand for it

Damian.
Just remember to let the ugly b@stard in the black Evo win, or he'll chuck his teddy out

Fingers crossed I'll have the thing back by Friday PM, otherwise the wife's wagons gonna get it's nuts ragged off. Wasn't looking too good whe I saw it on Tuesday. The seats were the only interior thing left. No door cards, dash centre console, gearstick.... Wires EVERYWHERE!!! wouldn't mind but [excuseforbeingcrap] I've only done 150 miles in the bloodi thing [/excuseforbeingcrap]

See you Sat, in whatever!!!

Evo???Sticky(wagon)

Just to keep everyone upto date,

Track Etiquette :-

Max 4 cars on track
Queue to await turn (like Elvington)
2 Alternating Queues, Speed demons/Wimps (you know which you are )
Overtaking by concession (the faster car indicates right and awaits a left signal of approval from slower car who will pull to the left, OVERTAKING ONLY ON THE RIGHT)
I recommend every 3rd lap is taken as a brake cooler and run with hazards on at a relaxed pace (can be ignored if agreed by all four in that session prior to that run)
Try to keep reasonable distances (use cooler laps to re-establish gaps)
Timed laps at end of day
NO RACING

You've got my number!

After 4 Hours at TSL - I was ready but now it's gonna be a Rally Sweden replica. Anyone got any 1" wide 18's I can borrow, or a Snow plough?

Can't wait

DAC - Something like that, yeah!

I've just checked out the junction, and there's lay-bys on the Rothwell side in both directions big enough for about 6-7 cars each.

CU all in the morning. I hope all the cars will be clean & shiny. Lots of piccys & vids to star in

Not long now - and weather don't look too bad for the afternoon.

I'll be beinging some extra BBQs, some all important matches and some cooking tools just in case.

Planning to be there for 8:30, which should not be a problem as the roads will be very quiet at that time, so it'll be a nice warm-up for the days activities.
