Apple - How do you know Mate? (You're right, by the way....)

Simon - That's why I picked that figure Mate! Usually changing into second where the carpet meets the laminate....

Dazza. On the head mate.

Sounds boring doesn't it? Damn right too. I mean, who wants to look at (last count) 12(?) badly parked Scoobs (and other hardware such as Corrado's and a Cossie), all very different from Classic 93's to STI 8's with various trick bits and occupied by a bunch of guys who rabbit on and on and on about their bloody cars, talking about gizmo that and widget the other, whilst having a pint (shandy of course) and a good meal?

I wouldn't go normally, but I have wife and three kids at home!

It's only our 5th meet, but it's a laugh and all the guys are top. The beers good and the lasagne's even better. Only downside (?) is that there's usually only one fairer sex.. Corrado Girl, who I don't believe is going. Your wife is more than welcome though if she can stomach the car related chat.. all night.

We do have a tendancy to stand out in the car park, in the rain looking at some of the lads' new bits (Phil's in the lead this month I think). We go in when hunger takes it's toll or somebody passes out from hypothermia.

Regardless, we would love to see you down there. Hopefully you can make it..?

DAC.. Sorry mate. Old age. I'm sure it was you who asked about meeting up. Had a look back and it was, in fact, Sticky Stuff.

Where's me zimmer?

Phil, check out the 'Full car graphics' thread by Scratch in the 'Policy' forum you put us on to.

VERY interesting. I've put my two penneth worth in a few times as it does seem the BB have made a big mistake. It will be very interesting to see how this pans out.

DAC - it's the only way to get by some of the numpties you've followed for miles...

Plus it could almost be classed as the twisties going thru the junction at pace

Not a bad weekend for myself, buddy.

Saw a few Scoobs at the weekend although only got the one wave (off a classic UK blue owner - very nice one in Wakefield, near Asda on Sunday). Some of the bug-eye owners i saw had real nasty expressions on them when driving (i've never had a wave or flash back from a bug-eye or 03 owner yet come to think of it).

Rob, where's them pics?????

Kel

Strange that coz they all tend to give me a quick wave or flash!

U get the odd tool who thinks his version is way superior coz its got a newer number plate (and they tend to be the ones who have no clue what the cars can do in the first place) - but 9 times out of 10 every1 seems to be sound as!

Hope your luck improves buddy!!

J4CK50N (feeling tired at the thought of having to clean the car before the next meet!!!)

Did you hear a 'pap' this morning, J4CK5ON? I noticed you in that big queue (Denby Dale road towards Wakefield), i tried to overtake a massive truck on the roundabout whilst papping my horn at ya (i still need to learn to keep both hands firmly on the wheel when accelerating on bends and corners - i still think im in my old 306 every now and again). Almost killed myself trying

That road seems to be getting worse and worse for the morning traffic.

Hi guys, I've just got a MY03 WRX PPP and I'd like to join your convoy from the Holmfield Arms. I gather it's just off the M1 J39. Do I need to head towards Wakey or Denby Dale. Seems like there'll be quite a crowd, room for one more on top ?

Hi Mate,

You're very welcome to join us all, of course!!

I'll leave it for one of the Convoy Kids to navigate you in, as I'm pretty close to the Fenay Bridge anyway. Calling Al????

Heloooooooo!! Who called?

Convoy Kid? At my age?

WalterEgo... You are more than welcome to join us mate..

I wouldn't say 'Just off' 39.. a few miles maybe .. but you'd probably need to come that way anyway if you were coming off the M1 at 39 and heading toward the meet.

OK.
Come off at 39 and head towards Wakey..
Mile or so up the road.. past Pugney's water park..go over the 'flyover' where the Audi/Jag garages and Wacky Wharehouse pub are on the right...(watch for the camera at the lights just before and at 200 yds up the road)
Go underneath the Ralway bridge through the lights and you'll come to a mini roundabout on Thornes Lane.
The entrance to the pub is first left straight off the roundabout.
We will be parked up immediately as you enter the car park.

Meet to leave at 7:10..

The journey to the meet will take about 15-20 mins from there..

By the sounds of it.. we have a few guys meeting up there.. 6+? superb..

My mobiles posted here. Somewhere. So call if you need to. Look forward to seeing you and your motor..

Al.

Chris - LOL, yeah I just couldn't bear to miss out on what's shaping up to be the biggest meet yet My money making scheme fell through, so I'd only be sat at home anyway.
You're gonna have to buy that digital camera soon, by the way. I've just read that Kodak are to stop supplying film to the US and W.Europe by the end of this year

A born organiser, J4ck50n? Isn't that one of those old leather things from the 1980s??? Usually left empty, except for a few worthless notes??? Only kidding, Al mate!!

Walter - yup, good food at the Fenay Bridge. And a decent sized car park too!

Walter

Sorry mate we posted at the same time!!

The food at the Fenay Bridge is excellent. Or has been the last few times I have been!

A word of warning though - dont turn up with a dirty car coz I did that once and was branded for life with the dirty car tag. After months of counselling I am now starting to come to terms with it all now!!

Seriously though, come along, grab a bite to eat, meet some top blokes (& me) a generally enjoy the evening!

Cheers

J4CK50N
