Happy New Year!! http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/.../partytime.gif

It's that time again guys and gals...

In keeping with the 'Last Thursday' routine.. then it's Thursday 29th @7:30.

One rule for this meet...

You MUST be wearing or using a Xmas pressie at the meet.. third party pressies such as J4CK5ONS Bucket and spongue used to clean his motor are not allowed... ;) Sorry mate.. old habits etc etc..https://www.gamers-forums.com/smilie...y/biglaugh.gif

To show willing, I'll be wearing my 'Shagtastic' socks... really.http://smilies.crowd9.com/otn/puke/barfy.gif

New members are always welcome.. whatever you drive... drop a message here if you need directions etc.. I, or another regular 'old leather picker', will be happy to meet up with anyone of they want to convoy in (excludes people from London and europe..obviously)

Apple 04 January 2004 10:39 PM

Al,

Extra points for scooby related or just "extra sad" points? ;):D

corradoboy 05 January 2004 07:23 AM

I won't be there for this one, prior engagement :(. All the best for the new year fellow Leather Pickers, have a pleasant evening. I'll give Howard a ring this week and post details.

Apple,

Both. You decide which!! ;)

Dave, cancel the engagement. Simple. otherwise, have a great New Year and thanks for THE most entertaining smilie...

J4CK50N 05 January 2004 11:32 AM

Count me in.

Didnt need a bucket and sponge as I bought one before the last meet!!!!! ;)

Fitted all my gauges now and even treated myself to a knocklink so I am now a little happier with the car as I can see whats going on.

The only problem now is I seem to have more gauges the Marty McFlys Deloreon in Back to the Future - quite distracting at times!!

Happy New Year to you all!!!

See you all soon!

Harry_Boy 05 January 2004 04:34 PM

Yeah, great thanks Mate. Just crap to be back here though - cold, wet, dark and speed cameras.... What more can I say....

Laters!

corradoboy 05 January 2004 05:17 PM

Look what happens when it's wet and dark........

Still struggling to get back into work mode after two weeks of sun.....
how many yards is it between bed and pc / phone...? ;)

just think of us poor souls that have to brave the elements each and every day :( :D

Hi Apple Mate - about 5 yards from bed to bathroom, then another whole four yards (is there a film title in there somewhere?) between bathroom and office..... It's just too much!!!

I'm convinced I've got sunstroke from cycling at 7500 feet in the blistering heat.....

Dave - WTF happened? I thought it was only me that did daft things (like pranging Kath's car)!

YorkshireSimon 05 January 2004 10:30 PM

LOL @ Apple, ditto his comments... You wuss, wanna try my trip to and from work dude, you are more than welcome to it... ;) Hope you had a good holiday all the same mate.

Corradoboy, you really do need the scoob and these things won't happen, well, depends how you go around corners I guess, but it generally doesn't happen... ;)

I will be there, just, I think. And I should get bonus points for my Xmas pressie to myself, Prodrive Hella 1000FF driving lamp conversion and DBA brake discs all round.... :D:D:D Hopefully fitted by then...

Cheers chaps and happy new year to everyone.
Simon

YorkshireSimon 05 January 2004 10:33 PM

Slightly off topic I guess, but is anyone going to the Autosport International Motorshow this Saturday..?

Possible convoy down there... ;)

corradoboy 05 January 2004 11:40 PM

Harryboy - Hope you had a good hol and Xmas 'n stuff. The wheel took the rough end of a Xmas eve trip along the Wrynose & Hardknott Pass' in The Lakes. 1st gear hairpin 1:3 incline unsighted pouring down and thud, WTF was that. Ooh dear. So that's £600 out of the Scooby Fund and CG gets the benefit of a spanking set of OZ Superlegerra's :D

Simon - If things like that don't happen in your Scoob, you're not trying hard enough ;)

Al - Can't cancel the appointment, it's worth over £800 to the Scoob Fund :D if it all works out.

There may be a visitor from the Buckles crew paying you all a visit. Make Prodrive Andy and his beautiful STi8 welcome in my absence, and check out his DV

CU all in Feb, CB.

scoobynson 06 January 2004 07:26 PM

dave , good job your punctuation is spot on ,
i had to look twice , i thought you gave CG a good spanking.;)
see you all soon.

Alan C 06 January 2004 07:36 PM

OK Dave, no probs about missing this one, we'll let you off! ;)

Good luck on the 'fund raising' whatever it is!! We'll catch you and your good lady next time.

Buckles crew? More than welcome...

corradoboy 06 January 2004 08:35 PM

Just for you Scoobynson :D

http://members.lycos.co.uk/elffster/...k%20Bottom.gif

I know how you like smilies ;)

Harry_Boy 06 January 2004 11:14 PM

Hi Si,

Great hols thanks - just taking time to adjust to the cold and damp. It's hard when you're getting on a bit, you know.... The Shackletons High Seat is beckoning..... :) And there's no way I'm swapping your 5.30am routine! Not even for a drive in the 150ps Golf!

Dave - two classic passes in the Lakes. That's where we were videoed by some Scoob crazy nutter last year!

Si - Autosport Intl, almost tempted Mate. There's a thread in General at the moment on this topic.

Cheers, HB.

YorkshireSimon 07 January 2004 05:47 AM

HB

Thought you might be tempted to go ;):D:D

Glad you had a good time on your hols, work is depressing again, but at least the batteries are recharged... :)

I'll give you a call today/tomorrow for a chat.

Cheers
Simon

Harry_Boy 07 January 2004 03:35 PM

Hi Si,

5.47? Is that AM?? How can this be? Such an hour doesn't exist according to my alarm clock?

After much deliberation and research, my only conclusion is that there must be a defect on the Scoobynet server :) :) :)

YorkshireSimon 07 January 2004 07:29 PM

I wish... ;)

Always check my email when I have got ready for work. PC always on and broadband, makes this ever so easy.. :D:D

S

Harry_Boy 07 January 2004 07:54 PM

True Mate - but I usually end up with a dozen messages from Norton warning of potential attackers.....

YorkshireSimon 07 January 2004 08:14 PM

Better to get the warnings rather than being hacked at all... ;)

dead_neurons 07 January 2004 09:05 PM

If i Had *ANY* idea how to get there I'd probably come down again!

guess I'll just have to dig autoroute out ;)

/2ob

Harry_Boy 07 January 2004 10:39 PM

Rob - it's easy - get Al to do you a convoy!

Si - if I'd known you were in, I could have done with a pint.... :)

YorkshireSimon 07 January 2004 11:08 PM

Yeah, me too, playing footy tomorrow night as well. Ah well..

Bed for me now, up in 6 hours... :(

Harry_Boy 08 January 2004 01:41 AM

Footy? Now that IS frightening, Mate...

Kel1977 08 January 2004 09:16 AM

Bah, can't make it tonight (Subaru is without tax for the next few days).

Bugger.

Kel

Harry_Boy 08 January 2004 09:36 AM

Kel - this one isn't until the 29th Jan, mate!

Kel1977 08 January 2004 09:39 AM

Oh it isn't tonight? Heh :D

Then yes, i'll be there!

Kel
