Rear & side stickers.... not too keen on keeping mine - what did you use - just start peeling, hair dryer etc?

Don't want to get half way - would look worse! IMO

I used a Hair Dryer set to warm (used my sister's so has fancy settings ) and an old credit card.

Heat gently and pick at the edges with the card - works a treat

Sorry to butt in - can someone PM me about a HKS SSQV issue

I have a V4 Type-R, I have an HKS SSQV that apparently came from an STi however the hose coming from the I/C is a different size.

I am unable to purchase the correct 'fitting kit' from HKS suppliers.

What are my options - buy a new kit and sell this one?!

Thanks for all suggestions

Soz - new Type R owner. Every day I get a bigger grin.. and emptier pockets!! Optimax & Pro boost!

Oh my God! (Can't be a real STI without pink badge.).
Seriously. Sti have a large aftermarket parts dept where many styles of grill badge can be fitted.
My own one is the carbon "STI HARE"(Had to be removed for SVA. Due to pointy bit.)

Just had the 6 monthly check up on my baby at Owen Developments....

Very pleased with the reports..............

Fuelling and Boost + all the other bits are as they should be..........

Dyno results ...............

317 bhp (253@wheels) / 310lbft.
Peak boost = 1.4 bar holding a min of 1.1 ish

BTW : Thier dyno cell is immense, think I have caught a cold and that was only on half power!!!! The car never went above the normal temps on driving normal conditions on the road according to the SECS.

Peccy, yep suspension arms are pink. Regarding the ride-height, I don't know its probably the way the car is sitting! I'll get some fat passengers!!
Where were you last Sunday? I was looking forward to seeing another car like mine at the Derby meet.

Thumbs up my old car

hi there

the car is my old car, i changed it for something else as it was no longer suited to my changing job and the mileage i was going to end up putting on it, would have made daily use prohibitive. in addition i was leaving it in car parks all around uk and it was getting too much attention!!

the car is superb, and to be honest theres many a day when i miss it, i put hks headers on the car so the exhaust is hks throughout.sound superb, enhanced with the forge dumpvalve.

the carbon fibre is really nice, been to most of last years car shows and to be honest never seen a bonnet or boot of that quality, assuming you want the jap racer look !!!

the price is certainly ''interesting'' as essentially it is a white type r with carbon bits, which whilst makes it eyecatching, im not convinced as to if it makes it worth that, i know when i part ex with a dealer it was being passed on to where i assume it is now, lets just say im suprised as the asking price, but it is certainly unique !!

the car never missed a beat whilst i had it, in terms of the car itself its spot on.

i ran it on sul/optimax and booster from date of import, in terms of the car i never regretted having it, just hope youve got a garage or private car park, as it will be of interest to the lowlife in your area.

if i can be of further help let me know

ian

hiya

Brian youve got my number if you want to discuss again, happy to help with any concerns you have about the car.

As discussed i cant fault the car, but as i say the asking price i feel is generous

regards ian

I currently have an STi5 Type R in cool grey which will be up for sale in a matter of weeks. It's an S plate, with 26K on the clock and I'm looking for less than the dealer!!

Let me know if you're interested.

No worries mate, when I bought mine last year I found scoobynet superb in terms of ideas /hints tips and more than happy to help another potential owner a year or so on.

As we said the car is pretty much perfect bodywork/mechanical assuming your happy with the attention it'll get you, and i loved the white/carbon...but as with the other guys comments in general forum....theres got to be a limit as to how much over ''standard'' the extras are worth..if as some say at all.

you know what i paid for it, a year ago ..and indeed sold it for, and given the convenience of a trade in was pretty happy with what i got for it, i knew it would appear on here one day at a premium over what i recieved, no problem!! but never envisaged that price.

Best of luck with your search..dont give up on a type r tho, in my opinion they are the scoob to have!!

cheers ian
