If you got your diff control so it's lighting up orange on the dash, you will get grumbling from your diff if the road conditions are too dry. You're best having it open (in the green) and creep it forward as conditions get worse eg. wet, icy, snow.

yeah i have the diff set full open most of the time (all of time when going slow), this is just when you touch the accelarator to go from say around 5mph at idle to 7/8 mph and in a straight line. so to start with the engine is moving the car, then when you come of the accelarator the car is effectivly turning the engine over. its in this transition between the engine turning the wheels to the wheels turning the engine that there is a free play / back lash clunk / clanging noise. i have been told that they all do it, do they?

Ooer...
That doesn't sound right to me, I've had two Type R's and my Version 3 was definitely noisy from the diff - it kanda grumbled and rumbled over 20MPH. Figured it was just wear on the diff.
I've got a Version 6 now and I have no noise at all. I'd get it checked out m8! Sounds like something's loose?

Hi guys.
Bought Peccys old v.ltd recently. Has the 2.5l conversion as you might know but its just been rebuilt and is nearing the 1000mile mark. Its got a tek3ecu fitted and i need somewhere to remap the beast. All engine work was done at the scoobyclinic but i live some 6-700 miles away in the north east of scotland. They said there were only two other companies in the country that could remap it, for what reason i dont know. Know of anyone in scotland that could do the job? Falkland Performance?
Cheers,
Doug.
