Well, I'm one of those sad people who actually collect them old ones. As for which one you go for, the Spectrum was the most popular for many reasons, but for graphics and sound, I would get a C64 (bullnose version), as the VIC-20 was very limited on games and you needed to get a RAM Pack to play the better games. One word of advice, whichever you go for, try to get a mint boxed complete one, then if you do not like it, you'll probably get your money back, and more.
