Steve/DAZ,

if you have lots of money, then lots of power is possible We had a car at our event in Scotland yesterday, which puts out a claimed 480 bhp. It was testing on the rolling road at 460 bhp before the latest mods were made which have made a noticable difference according to the owner.

It has completely uprated internals, including crank, camshafts etc, runs up to 2 bar of boost !!. It has been very expensive though.

All the work has been carried out in the UK, but I'm not sure who by. The owner is coming to Knockhill on Saturday 9th October, but I can put you inm touch with him if you send me an e-mail with your phone number on it.

John

Also if money is no object on the engine, I am a bit mystified by the comment that the Leda C is expensive? I hope that along with the engine mods some upgrade to the brakes has been planned also??

Remember that everything should be upgraded as a package....or at least start with the suspension and brakes first.

Cool

Looking for 100Bhp++ ... cheap!!!!!!

NOS your car ... with 100bhp (wet system)

Sure will give U 100bhp and Lots of TORQUE too.

Don't forget to Upgred Ur fuel pump too.

Word of advice .. whatever mods. that U are doing to the engine or ECU .. PLEASE CHECK YOUR FUEL PUMP FLOW RATE AND PRESSURE Delivery .. might not be enough.

If the above happen .. say good bye to Ur internal ..... over.

Cheers.

DYNT....

You took your time...

I thought this thread had died...

The fuel pump/pressure can be a problem.... but only if you go crazy...The pump is ok for normal injectors... but when you start to fit 550's then you need to consider the pump/fuel line/pressure... Anyway... why am I telling you this....you already know... LOL

Hows things in that part of the world ?

I had considered NOS...25bhp nozzle...maybe 50...to overcome lag and the bottom end... just upto about 4K revs..then the turbo takes over.... Of course a wet system..or bye-bye engine...

Have to see how things go...

J.

Just drove, this Saturday Sti Imports new demonstrator at Interpro Thornbury.

As I have previously mentioned this motor has been modified.

On driving it made my STI5 feel like a 950cc fiesta - very scary. I have never been in a car that is so fast and at low down revs - this car just pulls! Dave Morgan was not interested in gaining power at high revs - he wanted low down torque and driveability through the rev range and lots of relaibility.

They did not go over the top as the transmission, apparently starts to suffer at about 360 lbs torque - so mods kept so as gearbox and cluth could still be used.

Dont know detailed spec. What I do know is that the block has been machined, uprated conrods, conrod bolts, pistons, antidetonation rings, uprated wastegate actuator, uprated dump valve, seriously sucking green domed air filter, Full Mongoose Exhaust, and replacement ECU.

The dump valve is a noisy bugger and a bit of a pain in town driving - but it gets you noticed!

There was a number of other mods, but too technical for me. The car now runs on ordinary unleaded, can pullup to 2 bar of boost (whatever thaht means and has approx 100bhp/torque more than standard - but it felt like more!)

The conversion costs about £5k + VAT.
My order will be in soon!

Firefox - My part of the world ...hmmmmmm .. how about broken gearing.. 2nd and 5th gear rounded off.

Built new gearbox with 4.1FD and 4.1Reduction gear for the diff. Is great ... anyway is not my car ..hehehehe.

Steve - More U do to Ur engine .. the lifespan would be short. Reboring the cylinder to run 2.2 stroker kit is not a good idea cos the cylinder liner is weak unless U plan to buy the better gred liner to replace the original unit...$$$$$

2bar of boost and high torque .... sound like a rally spec. engine to me. Lots of internal work involved and for 5K ... very cheap. I hope he GAS RING the cylinder head.

Cheers.
