Just bought my third cossie, only had it 4 weeks. Another blown head gasket, even tho' just fitted 1000 miles ago at Castle Performance by previous owner! That now fixed. radiator goes..... 3/4 blocked, changed that, gone from overheating to overcooling, changed thermostat...was ok for couple of days!! Then electrical problem, no ignition.. caused by heated windscreen washer earthing, of all things
Now both engine mounts gone, taking drive shafts with them!!

Only had it 4 weeks, just bleeding oil all over drive!!!

Hello Gaz W who sold it to me, you w*****.

Sapphire 4x4 for sale, eventually when it's all fixed (but don't hold your breath, could be some time!!)

Biggest waste of £5k I have ever spent.

Still got P1, which I've had for over a year, never had any trouble with it!

Bad luck that is m8.

Same as ste says though if a car isnt looked after properley by previous owners etc things will go wrong. I imagine the older scoobs going for 4 grand will be along them lines now as well what is a shame.

2 previous owners before I bought it, folder full of history, nearly fully stamped book.

1990 (H) 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth White
88000 miles
tax, all Mot certificates
stage 1
mongoose exhaust
group A cone filter
group A head gasket
New brake discs (grooved)
silicone hoses
gauges - boost, water temp,
oil pressure (this one not connected but parts to connect)
breather/separator (not yet fitted)
17" Ford Diamond cut 7 spoke alloys
Leather
koni adjustables all round put on about 1000 miles ago
chassis dynamic lowering springs (25mm)
Security - Thatchem 1
HPI clear
Very clean engine bay

We've just fitted new radiator, thermostat, in garage now having competition engine mountings fitted and drive shafts. It's got an oil leak but I've been told all cossies leak oil, can be sorted.

Can't post pictures at moment as it is in garage.

We paid £5000 for it, we'd like to get our money back, I know I hate it at moment but I'm not giving it away!

No hasn't had rebuild. Harvey Gibbs (SCS, I thought it was Castle until I looked in folder they did cam belt)opened it up just over 1000 miles ago and said it was ok but that is just taking previous owners word for it. You could always ring SCS 01733 576614, done on 7 Feb 03, invoice 111.

rs200 mega motor....shame it use to lose to metro's sometimes though???

Errr.........not exactly the best example to use.

MG Metro 6R4, developed by Williams GP Engineering, V6 engine was basically a shortened Cosworth DFV with Cosworth complete cyl' heads and other internals, pistons, etc.

Yet another Cosworth engine with racing pedigree chum to its name!

you lot are pure ladies, these two cars are totally different, scoobies are mega at what they where designed for, rally beasts with a **** load of torque.
But ultimately in a straight line or on some tracks, you will still have to bow to the odd cossie, no-one on here has obviously sampled a group b or even a group a cossie.

its just a pity, i'll kick all yer ***** in me skyline round any track or straight!!!! LOL..
