I'll pass your message along When you get back I'd apprecaite any tips on how to stay motivated to practise when it cold and dark outside and you feel tired. After 15 years I'm guessing you've got that bit sorted.

i take it imports are more powerful then yeah????
Saxo.... Tips for training are as follows basically get off your *** and get on with it! no seriously this is exactly it dont be put off by the weather outside! i train outside 6 days a week and yeah it is hard to get on with it after i get home from work but make sure you train as soon as you get home dont wait i garuantee you wont feel tired after training it kind of wakes you up after work.... heres my routine
mondays. Focus mits and sefldefence
tuesday. strength training. horse stance etc sparring continous
wed. weapons
thursday. jump kicks and combinations
friday. running cardio etc
sat rest
sun empty hand forms four directions and falling
now you dont have to train for hours at first i usually work out for no more than a hour and a half each night!!!! but i started with about a 45mins to start and eventually you get hungry to do more and more!!!! also a companion may help you get motivated but if you can go at it alone its better than way and you will improve faster than you would think
but the most important part on all the days above is warm up to avoid injury and improve flexibilty as well as strength

Scott cheers for the advice I've got a class tonight and I'm feeling all pumped for it now.
Buying online 2nd hand (i.e. scoobynet) you can turn an MY99 UK car into an import fast car for about £800. This is what I did with a full decat and tek 3 remap with some other bits to boot. The car did the 1/4m in 13.401s @ 103mph at that stage of tune and that was with a dodgy clutch on a very hot day.

cheers for the modding tips saxo and good luck at class tonight but to be fair ive been down the route of tuning turbo cars and they tend to go wrong continuesly which might of been down to the fact it was a ford but neverless once scorned etc!!!
Id rather change the exterior to that of a sti spec as i think they look awesome

Interested in getting my little girl into a martial art (both for self defence and self discipline) and as your school is not "too" far away, it might be a possible. The other is a karate school in Newmarket (name escapes me).
Any pros/cons of ksw over karate? Also from what age do you take them? She is 4. Other advice appreciated.
There is a regular (ish) meet over at Fen Ditton on the east side of Cambridge, check Southern Events for when they pop up. All welcome in whatever car - there's one guy who always turns up in a manky porsche (that right mark? ), so come along and have a chat. I'm also not too far away, so if you have any questions, just drop us an email as per profile & I'd be glad to help.

Puff my experience of Karate is limited so I apologise if I'm stepping on any toes here but from what I can see, read and learn Kuk Sool Won is a far more comprehensive system (and that’s just it - its a system of traditional Korean martial arts). You learn basic kicks and punches, spinning kicks, jumping kicks, joint locks, acrobatics, all forms of grappling and body manipulation, pressure point strikes, etiquette (very important), forms (a series of movements to build strength, co-ordination, etc), weapons and much much more. At master level (we're talking 30 years training here) you get taught some pretty interesting things such as healing, death point strikes, etc.
A lot of people don't see the relevance of joint locking techniques and escape techniques (such as wrist escape) because they are learned in a controlled manner and 'it just wouldn't happen like that in the streets’ That’s not the point. I still have the odd playful rumble with my brother in an attempt to get the other to submit: Prior to kuk sool it was fairly even but now within about 2s I've got him in some form of lock or grab that he can't get out of. I don't apply a specific technique but without realising it I've started to learn how the body and joints don't like to move. To say its comprehensive would be an understatement. People at Scott's level could walk through the roughest part of town without a fear in the world! Anytime I've helped out in the kids class they seem to be having a great time
Oh and then there are break falls, which are very impressive to watch. I was watching a video of the masters ceremony from 2001 and KSN William from our class did a front break fall where he jumped such that he was parallel to the ground about 6 foot up. He then dropped like a brick and was completely un-injured. Go along to the next KSW demonstration and see for yourself

I've heard a lot of positive things about Jeet Kune Do I'd actually say that very often your instructor is more important than the art. You need to be trained by someone that will give time to your learning and push you hard but be friendly and approachable.

I just got a 97 Turbo, I am 23 and the insurance was sorted with Tescos. Its quite cheap - one problem with a lot of companies is that they will not insure you if you are under 25 on certain cars. Evo6, Lancia Intergrale and P1 were all put out of contention as my first car due to the fact that nobody would insure me - so a standard Turbo it had to be. Good luck with it!
Oh - hello as well! I only joined last week and have been enjoying it ever since!
